beta?

i want to play this game so bad...are they still goin to let ppl in the beta or have a open beta?

    So far from what I have read, people who get the beta via pre-order or whatever, might have to wait to be let in. Every now and then they let a certain number of people, I believe a big number, then they see what the server does. If everything runs smoothly they let more people in. It goes by invitation. So lets say u get the beta and register and all. They will send u an email to notify u when you can get on.

    If you get the pre-order box you will probably get into beta a week before release.  The people in beta now are people who are constant posters on the forums.

    People who registered on the forums at www.cityofheroes.com prior to Nov 2001 have first shot at beta. I have heard conflicting stories on whether the amount of posting matters or not.

     The wait is driving me crazy. image I have been part of the city of hero forums since may 2002. 

    I have pre-order from best buy. and now I have enter this beta contest. even if i dont make beta. image

    I still want to play this game. The other game I play (over 4 years now ) is dying.

    It was my understanding that all pre-orders will get into beta. Maybe I am just fooling myself though.

    Yes, if you pre-ordered a copy you will DEFINITELY get a spot in the beta...what phase and at what time is totally in the air, however.  All we can do is wait image

    I finally pre-ordered today. I was rather encourage by the reports I have been reading. Seems like they are moving in the right direction.

    Frankly (as a pre-orderer), I dont care if I get in beta or not. Just tired of paying for crappy MMOs because they are pushed out the door too early. I can handle bugs. But bugs, no content, high prices, etc...all tends to suck way too much.

    All those who pre-order will get into beta. Might be 3 weeks, might be 1 week before CoH comes out.you pre-ordered to get the game, not to get into beta, if beta was  the only reason you bought it then I feel sorry for you. alot of cool stuff in the pre-order cd you should check out.

    This is my first pre-order. from a retail store. I was wondering how i will get the game when it comes out? and if i have to pay full price when it does come out? anyone?

    what ever you paid for your preorder will be taken off when you pick up the game.. Now the most important thing to rememeber is that SHIP date and RELEASE date are diffrent.. if the SHip date is the 27th then the game will come out on the 28th...

    lots of people get that one confused!

    Yea if you preorder from a retail store, you go to that retail store on the day they say they will have copies available.

    as long as you were Lurking (sp) and signed in it counted and of course if you were a memeber prior to Nov. 2001...image
