IF EQ2 implements these changes *Positive EQ2 post*

Forget the WoW expansion i will gladly play EQ 2 :)

Problem they are stating that scouts and melee classes are wayyyyy to overpowered in PVP due to resist, fizzles etc. There was no way a caster could beat a scout. Especcially brigands who were insanly overpowered. With these changes that means all classes will finnally have a chance in EQ2 PVP which honestly i will buy the EOF expansion :)

Why the fuck you two think it matters?

And btw, I wasn't referring to you as creepy.  It's just that whenever I see one of your posts, you're always staring right at me.

Sorry but they are smoking crack. Scouts over powered??? The whole purpose of a scout is to be able to use stealth to sneak around and suprise your enemies. Unless things have changed they killed stealh when they setup the pvp servers.

So now they are killing resists and other defensive skills? Just so we are clear here:

    Scouts have no useful stealh
    Scouts can't use decent armor
    Scouts can't use strong weapons

What exactly are scouts supposed to do in pvp now?

    To the OP..

In all honesty when I read these changes the other day..

The first thing that came to mind was.  Ok so with the Combat revamp they did (just after the CU was done in SWG relatively).  Followed by the multiple nerfs to various parts of "mitigation" and varous other class changes..

They finally figured out they had nerfed players and especially certain classes to the point people were quitting.

So now they are basicly going to remove some of those nerfs and act like it was some revolutionary positive change done by them FOR the players... When in my eyes they are just reversing some nerfs THEY put in over the course of time.

Almost everything they discuss in there as affecting casters..melee .. healers etc was a changed by one of their adjustments.

Perhaps I'm just cynical because I was in EQ2 beta and recently finally gave up on the game.

But this is how *I* see it... like I say that's just me tho I don't claim to speak for anyone else.

No useful stealth? No decent armor? Huh? What game are you talking about? Go look at the top 100 PvP list on EQ2. 90% of the list is the scout class.

    Scouts have:

    1) Stealth
    2) tracking
    3) Evac
    4) Great DPS
    5) High resists rates against casters
    6) they can wear chain
    7) The best debuffs in the game (see Brigand)

Scouts literally have it all. They are extremely overpowered.  There was no reason to play a non scout class in PvP and that is inherently not fun. Stealth + Tracking alone is enough to overpower the class. A lot of games ban people for radar and the scout class is given this as a base skill! Playing a caster in EQ2 PvP is suicide.

I wasn't "crying", I was trying to say it does not make any difference. Sorry if I offended you, my intention was the opposite. :)

Yeah, i'm not exactly sure what the hell Sleepy was talking about.  Almost 50+ lvls worth of leveling between two characters on Venekor.  I can count the number of times I was killed by a non-scout on one hand.   But if you asked me to count the times I had been killed by a scout.. well lets just say I'd probably need my hands plus those of half the people in my city to count that.    Sleepy have you ever even actually played on the pvp servers?  On Venekor there is honestly at least 3 scouts created for every 1 of the other non-scout classes.   There are more Rangers and Brigands created then any other class bar-none.

    In War - Victory.
    In Peace - Vigilance.
    In Death - Sacrifice.

That kind of turns me off.

    I, honestly, enjoyed EQ2.

The game was nice, the quests had a realistic feel to them.

There were only 2 big problems (although I played before PvP):
    - The graphics tried for realism, just got that 'eh?' feel to them
    - The loading times were horrific

I remember when I loaded up EQ2 on my old PC (like over a year ago) it took me minutes to load zones, and it happened a lot. I agree with the other person who said that if they could make it a more seamless world, I would pick it up.
