This will be interesting to see the entries they get. IMHO the 2 best talents in SWG Films no longer play the game, Windspire and Javier. And since Javier had a very public goodbye video and Windspire was threatened by lucasfilm for an SWG viedo on Youtube.com, I doubt either one will be involved in the contest.
Maybe some new talents will emerge, but, my gut feeling is that the videos may have a "something's missing" feel about them.
Agree with your post, and the "something missing" will be those fluid and beautiful animations they took out when they forced the NGE.
Today the animations look like sprites from Donkey Kong.
