Will EA put Ads in MMORPGs .. in War

in Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning

   EA is beginning to put streaming Ads in thier videos .. there Online devision has made a contract with Mircosoft for putting ads in future products both on PC and Xbox 360. They hint at the possiblibity of hitting the elusive 20 to 36 year with Online gaming Ads. These Ads are going to be "most" future produces , including the Bf series and other important markets.

        I can see it now , Greenskins Santa Claus selling Coke .. O.o

    Hell i so hope not.

    Ads in certain games might be tolerable even if annoying. A half functioning electric board with an ad for... dunno, Battle for middle earth III could maybe work in Battlefield 2170, but in WAR? it would totally be against immersion, unless they keep it to the starting screen with a small symbol or something.

    I really doubt we are going to see a Coke machine sitting in all the capital cities of this game. I think even EA knows that it just doesnt make sense, it just wouldnt work and there fore would tick of alot more people then it would make them want to drink Coke.

    The only think I they may do is the parhaps put a "Sponsored by X" or somethinf when you start the game. Anything else would be ridiculous.

    I would not mind ads in mmorpgs, it could ultimately lead to a reduction in monthly pricing for subscribers. 
    They could implement them in the UI somehow as little pop ups in the bottom corner of your screen, set on timers and such.

        Some new and old MMORPG did Ads , some of them in the UI , others placed in different areas of the game. While it is not as wipe spread as other games , its only a matter of time before someone taps this market.

         TV Ads are being skip by the majority of watchers , radio now has Ad free service .. and movie theaters show Ads before a big film..

          I dont think it would ruin the game .. if done right.

    If everyone doesnt know already, GamesWorkshop has the last saying about everything in this game.

    I really dont think they (or mythic for that matter) would allow EA to put ads in the game, and i dont think EA is stupid enough to want to... I mean, they might gain some profit from it. But when you look at the big picture, how many WONT play this game if it got ingame ads? lol, not me...
    EA bought Mythic because they also wanted a giant mmorpg just like vivendi (or whoever publishes wow) and they probably thought WAR had the biggest chanse..
    and they wont ruin it by putting ads in...

    i agree with u alle90  gamesworkshop will have the last say and unless the add promots the tabletop game of warhammer then there wont be any adds(although if they get lot of money from it then they might consider it)
    by the way warhammer and warhammer 40k absoulloutley rocks!!!!!!!!!!!
