1st Eschaton isn't out yet. 2nd every Screenshot of Eschaton looks WORSE than eve online.
Will check it out as soon it's released though.
Edit: Just checked it up again: Seems like the surroundings look a bit better than eve. Ships don't look as detailed as in eve though. Lets hope they get it released soon .I'm curious now.
LOL, have you even read about what Eschaton gameplay is like? It is completely different than EVE Online. Here is a small quote from the main site
"You`ll be able to command hundreds of units via a RTS interface, or carry out those orders inside space mechs, fighters, bombers, frigates, and battleships to go to war in spectacular space environments."
I am a little confused what that means. Will it be openly pvp- like eve? Can you tell me other openly pvp upcoming game like eve. I know Pirates of the Burning sea will be openly pvp like eve.

"If you operating within the protected space of one of the major nations, you're fairly safe. However, nothing in Eschaton is 100% safe, as there's a huge war going on and enemy invasion is always a threat.
There will be a large variety of non-combat roles you can take up in the market sector. So if you're not interested in combat, get involved in politics, join a cooperation, or start your own.
Most of the common problems associated with PvP in other persistent universes are circumvented in Eschaton. The chain of command and team coordination means you are working together in battles from the get-go, and so you have a whole team of people to help protect you. Also, since military ships aren't privately owned, you don't suffer much personal loss if you get killed in battle: you just switch to another ship.
Most of the units will not be directly piloted or controlled by players, but because of the strategy layer, they will still be controlled indirectly by real players. There aren't NPC's to kill, the focus is on massive online warfare."
So to answer your question there will be open pvp. That is the main feature of the game.

-I don't know of any games coming out that are similar to EVE Online.
-If you love EVE Online so much then just start playing it again.
-I haven't looked into Pirates of the Burning Sea, so I don't know what it is about. The premise of the game does not interest me that much.
-Shadowbane has open PVP.
