Of course given that the producers knew the NGE was coming by that time (which re-implimented the Pub 22 xp system btw), they decided to give in and quiet things down.

The only other time that might qualify is the original plan for the PBS, with the stupid /bountycheck idea, but that is not on the same scale as the XP nerf, as that was a single system that affected EVERYONE.

If they cared at all for our opinions they'd have not done the NGE or undone it after the first 20,000 (at least) cancelled during it's first days.  Now they sit a year later light more than half (at LEAST more than half given what I've witnessed on the so-called medium servers) everyone has paid for this.  Sadly.  I see no end in sight or any hope for SWG.  No one seeing the game in the state it is currently in, a YEAR after NGE, which will pass with half the game (crafters/entertainers) unaddressed at all, and with a combat and content system that is about as fun as dropping bricks onto your toes, would call the NGE a success.

I think they lost their chance to ever recover from the NGE disaster within the first week of it being on live (ie: when they passed any realistic window to roll it back).   They will never say it publically (well, SOE sorta already did at the AGC), but I guarantee you if they had it to do over again they wouldn't have.

    Everytime I read something on those forums, I always leave wanting to punch people...

    Wepps, it's also normal to not say anything when you're completely ignoring an issue. And if they are listening, that just means that they heard all of us complain, but didn't care.

    You can listen all day long to somebody.  That doesn't mean you understand them, let alone plan on doing anything they've said.  image

    I sent a PM to SWGMOD001 about his deleting one post (with the usual response of there will be no rollback or classic server) with:

    Look, you and I know that it can't go on the way it is, that if things dont' turn around it's gone by spring.  How can you say there won't be classic servers when this is the only possible option to save it.  You aren't going to magically fix the NGE in 3 months when you haven't been able to in a year, nor are you going to be able to rewrite the whole core again in that time.

    I fully expect to see classic servers or a shutdown notice before the snow melts.

    His reply:

    STOP TROLLING.

    Uh, a PM is a troll?!
