Ok so I downloaded the 7 day trial, having loads of fun playing and then BAM!!! TaDa, you defeated the evil thing and saved the day, go make more characters and do it again! This was thoroughly disappointing, I had been looking forward to being able to get 7 days out of the trial but I really don't see any way of doing that. I had alot of fun while I was playing and I'm sort of wondering if there is enough content in the real game to keep me playing for quite a while, I want to play for a long time if I do play at all. Also, I couldn't figure out how to do the whole artisan thing, so I wasn't able to sample some of the crafting and creation. So if someone could just sort of give me some of the highlights, tell me about some of the items, areas, monsters, quests etc. Just a brief overview would be good, I have read the review and other resources and they are not all that helpful...
Thanks!

As for the crafting... if you had talked to everyone on the isle like you should have you'd know that there's a craftman standing beside what looks like a door to a stormceller just behind the tower. You click on the stormceller to go inside the crafting instance. As well, the craftsman will explain crafting to you.
When you finally leave the isle, you'll receive a series of quests designed to teach you exactly how to craft.
One thing, if you can't do something by clicking on it, then right click and select what you want to do. It's something designed to be sure that you actually WANT to do it.
Trial is nothing but a way to load it up, see the look, classes, and gameplay.
I've got maxed toons in wow and eq2, and the time played in eq2 is almost twice what i have into wow (/played etc). But does that equate to 'content'? Content is a hard word to define imo. eq2 has a lot of stuff in it... but it's more of a social game (than wow) and really only works if you are in a goodsized active guild.
items: every ten levels you get new tiers of armor/weapons etc. So lots of upgrading thru the levels.
crafting: used to be extremely involved (and hence more interesting imo). but it has it's own little 'combat' system.
quests: individual, group, and heritage (guild quests). Heritage quests was a great idea imo. very long quests that earn guild xp. Some may take a week to finish, working on it a little bit at a time...
locations: fair sized game if you get all the xpacks. It's hard to estimate exactly, but it might be a little less landmass than wow.
