Ummm, i was looking through screenshots and went through the FAQ and all of this game and etc. But i was just curious are you just a boat? Or do you have a character too...cause all i saw were boats....nice boats...but still just boats.

If trees could scream, would we be so cavalier about cutting them down? We might, if they screamed all the time, for no good reason.

not sure.  They mention that you can do stuff on land, plus if your PKed or other things your boat can be destroyed/stolen.  So it seems that you will have an avatar unless they plan you floating around looking for another

2.01 Do I have to play a pirate?

No. Pirates of the Burning Sea will have a variety of professions available. You can be a naval captain, battling enemy navies during wartime and pirates all the time. Or be a privateer, with official sanction from your sovereign to loot and pillage the merchant ships of the enemy. For that matter you can be a free trader, moving valuable cargo from port to port, or work your way up through one of the massive trading companies. And because our RPG system is not class-based, you can change your profession again and again over the life of your character.

 

So basically, you play a character and can choose good (Captains), bad (Pirates), or in between (Privateers).

I am defenity buying this game! This game will kick butt. Why you ask!? Because of the PvP system! I love openly PvP, like eve-online. I also like this game because its a Vehical Mmrpg. I am a big fan of eve-online and hostilespace. So this game is just for me!
