    It's not addictive , it's just fun.

I like the thought that it is more like Chocolate than Coke. Sure, some weak willed people can probably become addicted to chocolate, but who cares.... they are the minority and they are flawed individuals.  The normal situation is a person that enjoys the product, but does not become addicted.

Basically if you have 100 people try WoW a few of them might find it "addictive" , but if you forced 100 people to play for a large amount of time and then let them choose their own life path I imagine most would stop playing and not look back. If you force 100 people to do a whole bunch of coke they are probably going to develop some serious addictions and out of the 100 people a large percentage of them are not going to be able to stop of their own free will after the trial. That is the difference.

A normal person won't become addicted to WOW if you make them play it. An abnormal person who is allowed to play way to much and is already not quite right in the head to begin with will probably develop a stronger attachment. By contrast a "normal" person WILL become addicted to coke if you make them do it exactly the same way an abnormal person would.

Blizzard learned from the lessons of other MMORPGs and they developed a refined form of an addicition tool, WOW.

You didn't hear this from me. Billzard intially named their WOW development project:

COCAINE = Custom Online Corporative And Interactive New Entertainment

I was told they are working for the military now.
