Runescape is the only game I can think of that actually has massive and very active pk/clan community. I mean their are even organized tournaments between all the major clans... but whatever... you can dismiss the greatest clan communities in any mmorpg today based on interactions with a few noobs...

DAoC was just pathetic. i would play runescape before DAoC. There are what 200 people max on that game? runescape has THE BEST PvP. i have to say ( please don't hurt me) you can form what ever you want. it's quests are SOOO INTO IT'S LORE! i have to say runescape isen't all that bad. minus the community of YOUNGER not noobs you bunch of sick nerds, and the terriable graphix. Just because they are young doesnt mean that they should be sheltered from the beauty of MMOs. A lot of younger kids might not like WoW or some other ones, but RS might be ryte down thier alley. Everyone that likes, plays, or trys to defend Runescape is a retard. I say this because the game is made and is played by 8 year olds, if you are over 8 and play Runescape. You need a life.
The "complex and infinite" possilities of the pvp system is a joke. YOU CLICK SOMEONE, there are maybe like 15 "spells" in this game. There are 8 sets of armor (if not less). There is literally no content here either. The PvE is the same if not even less complex.

As simple as that. this game is not challenging, the music is crap, the graphics suck, and the only reason there are so many players is because there are that many 8 year olds in the world that can't play any remotely demanding game due to their lack of intellegance/attention span.

If RS had better graphics and community, i still wouldnt play. Just needs more content and other things to do other than mini games or click 8,000,000 times to go somewhere.
I had more fun playing runescape than WoW. And for WoW i don't see 50,000 of the same type of quest as 50,000 pieces of content, its more like 5. so after taking that into consideration RS wins in that section.
However after looking at RS's broken community and semi-broken economy that lowers it a lot. however WoW has broken mechnics and a community that is also broken(a little bit less so than RS) so this lowers it a lot.
also RS crafting beats WoW's even if it is a grind some times/all the time.
personally speaking I think RS>WoW. but rating wise if you were to rate them they would score the same, with WoW coming ahead as it has shiny graphics.
I find it amazing that by 2020 first world countries will be competing to get immigrants.

WoW's quests might be the same, but there are so many more than in RS + subscription.

Umm that sounds a lot like you are defending the game, but I could be wrong. If runescape had better graphics, it might be a little better, however the community has become so ridiculously obsurd that it is not even worth playing anymore. Overall, I consider the game boring, yes it does have some expansive features but it is simply another grindfest in my opinion. All you do is point and click, and then level up. Before you know it, you realized you have spent countless hours being bored.
ALL mmog's get boring at one point or another, but Runescape is boring nearly the whole way through. Your first "newbie" levels may be very fun, considering you are exploring the area and learning new things. After awhile when you become familiar with the game, it gets very repetitive and boring. One thing I have to admit, Runescape is a good starting MMOG.
I would like runescape if the crafting system wasn't so boring (or "skills" system in this case) and the community was better I might play it again. There are tons of punk-ass brats on that game. So many people have played it that it is ridiculous. I can ask half the people in my school and the majority of them will either say they've heard of it or play it.
I do partially agree with you that if Runescape's community and Graphics were better, it would have been more of a success... But only to a certain extent. The reason that game is so popular is because it is browser based, and popularity makes the game more successful in most cases. The graphics can't get that much better in a web browser, you would have to make a client, thus having less people join.
PS: You might want to take a few spelling and grammar lessons. Your spelling sucks.

The PvP in the game is a joke. Could have been decent, but RS2 ruined it. You have the "easy" button in fights (teleportation, can work bellow 20/25 level "wilderness" [pvp zone])
