I kinda fast fowarded it, heard the word "quest" and turned it off. So much for that game.
What greater tribute to free will than the power to question the highest of authority? What greater display of loyalty than blind faith? What greater gift than free will? What greater love than loyalty?

Personally I only know one MMOG which doesn't make you kill X amount of Y, and that's UO (pre crappy quest system). Hardly a feature which will make people turn away from WAR.

Add AO to that list, but still.
Warhammer is definately a good bit like WOW, after all, Blizzard did copy from the series in the first place

Tis true, Blizzard pretty much just copied Warhammer, but that's probably why niether one of them interest me, lol.

Wow when you complete the "layers" of quests you can recycle and start them all over again.
Don't be terrorized! You're more likely to die of a car accident, drowning, fire, or murder! More people die every year from prescription drugs than terrorism LOL!
Really though, making the job-type quests public doesn't seem like the worst idea except I guess some people could hide somewhere and AFK in the area.
...Anarchy Online... Uh. I don't think you're mandated there to kill X any more or less than any other game. You do need to run Missions to 100% to gain Tokens for the 1K board. You do need to go to the Borgs or Hecklers for some of the fastest XP. You do need to camp the robots for the pieces of the Sided Shoulderpads quest. You do need to camp the robots for the Fixer Grid quest... More like kill N monsters with probability P of dropping the next piece.
Actually that game wasn't high on my list, but it is now. The open quest system looks very cool. Can't find people to help you with a quest? Doesn't matter, people in the area, doing the same quest help you whether they like it or not I love it.
You wish your graphics were that good. Go back to your recycled art models, WoWnoob, you are out of your league here because they Devs are actually making a full, complete game and not half assing it!
And what's wrong with quests? AoC will have quests. If you don't like them go play some crappy asian free-ware where you entire game is grinding wolves to get to level 50. Well, I guess you could play WoW too but they claim to have quests.

But do you understand your case? Those aren't regular quests, they're community quests. They're supposed to be simple. What he was trying to say was that your entire faction is co-oping that quest at once and completing it helps everyone. Ie:
Squigs are bothering the Giant. Kill twenty squigs. Does it matter if bob kills the squigs or if I do? No. Does it matter if Suizie kills twenty squigs or if I do? No. Stop them from bothering the giant then he'll go crush the enemy. In case you don't get what that means: IT'S A PERSISTANT QUEST THAT WILL EFFECT THE ENTIRE ZONE AND YOUR WHOLE FACTION IS COOPERATING TO GET IT DONE. No more: 'oh you killed the uber-boss? That's good. The villagers are still in mortal paral but here's your uber-sword, run along.

Excuse me, we are talking about MYTHIC here. DAOC was FAR from complete.
WoW on the other hand is known to be THE most complete MMO.
Ofcourse Warhammer has better graphics, it will be released 2 years after WoW. go look up Aion, Granado Espada or Age of Conan and see how MMO's of that era should look like.

There's a lot of content and terrain that didn't make it into release, thus it's not complete. Very simple.

AoC won't have a single "kill X mob of type Y" quest, not a single one, that is the difference people are pointing out. However, I personally won't mind them in the scenario presented, IF thats in the minority.
Meaningful quest material FTW

Exuse me, we are talking about WAR here, not DAoC. If you want to argue that DAoC looks like WoW, be my guest. Aion looks like Guildwars, nuff said. GE is the best thing since buttered tost, nuff said. WAR looks more like AoC than it does WoW anyway. WAR's graphics are tunned down a little for RvR, while AoC goes all out(I'm still iffy on the lag you are going to get with AoC, it looks like 1 a minute to me) but if you stick Orcs, Dwarves and Chaos into AoC, you would pretty much have WAR with lotts of snazzy effects which my computer probably couldn't render anyway.
If you want to see what an MMO of WoW's era should of looked like than take a look at CoH or FFXI. They came out BEFORE WoW and they did not have to recycle graphics.

Please provide your sources for non-AoC fans.
The most infamious quest I know of so far in WAR is 'Kill ten vultures' but I like it because of the text. See, you're a new Orc trying to join a large warband and said warband has just slaughtered a bunch of Dwarves. The boss doesn't like birds picking at his 'trouphies', so he sends you to kill ten of them and then shave the beards of the dwarves at prizes. And I'm not talking Vultures placed by Dwarves, they actualy do the pecking animation on the the bodies. The graphics aren't advanced enough to have them tear off peaces(something like that would lag like hell in RvR) but I still think it's pretty 'meaningful'.

Yep, you found out the big secret. Warhammer obviously ripped off WoW.
(Anyone else tired of reading/trying to fight posts like this?)
Then again, since it is just a big rip off, why dont you all keep wow and we will go to our little game
