What do you guys think of the way the music changes when you enter combat? It is something that several MMORPGs already do, but the other GW campaigns dont.
I thought it was very cool for about an hour, but now I've turned the music all the way down... Something I never had to do for either of the last GW campaigns. Compared to the old GW music, the new music is so intrusive and distracting, and most of all, repetitive.

Gah the more I play the less I like the combat music thing. Lets say I play for 4 hours. As I play, I go 10 seconds moving and healing my group, then 10 seconds to kill a small group of enemies. In that 4 hours, I just listened to the same 20 seconds of music 1500 times. Its just rediculous. I actually turned my music off, and I have never had to do that in GW before. I always found the GW music beautiful and felt like it adds to the mood of the game quite well. Well, I bought the soundtrack for Nightfall, and it is just as good as the past games, too bad I never hear more than 20 seconds of any of the songs in Nightfall. How can such short pieces of the music ever catch a players heart? How could it ever remind a player about the great times they've had playing, or put a player in a GW-loving mood?
Anyways, I've been trying to play the GW music seperately now, but it just isnt the same. First off, the music isnt area specific, which has always been an important part to setting the mood in-game. Second, I cant play the music on my computer because that just lags me in-game, makes my in-game sound choppy and such. So I have to play it seperate from the computer, which means earphones, and seriously, that cant sound as good as semi decent speakers. Anyways, I'm finding this whole thing more and more annoying. It's silly, I know, but its driving me nuts.
