Greetings, i apologize if this is just another one of those "Nubbin-gonna-try-the-game" posts, but i just have some questions about this game,so your help will be greatly accepted.

1.I saw the interface and i heard that the gamingstyle is a bit hard to get used to but awesome once you get it down, is this something like you find in SWG? (Yes im en Ex-SWG gamer)

2.How does this compare to other big MMOs?(for example, DaoC or WoW or SWG)

3.How is the lvling and skill system? Are there classes like there are in wow or is it more like FF(yes the MMO) where you create one character and get a whole bunch of skills?

4.Is this a fun game to start playing even though it has been out for such a long time?

5.How is the cummunity? is this game mostly played by adults and RPGers? And not ruled by people way to young to play the game like WoW has(which creates a poor community)?

Thank you for your help and good luck in your ongoing adventures!

    1. will leave this to someone who has played SWG

    2. bit of a general question to be honest, I think you'll find at first the game can be a little frustrating as it takes time to learn how things work.

the planet itself is quite alive as opposed to just mob A: dropped in this cave like you find in other games.

    As for features

    the missions are quite crap,

the levelling can be a grind,

     the community is absolutly amazing,

    there are no raids,

the economy is totally player based

    the PvP is quite cool,

there are lots of opportunity for RP if thats your thing.

    3. the skill system is totally unique as far as I know, it is totally classless and 1 character can master all skills (no-one has come close yet)

    4. you have 2 options if your an english speaker - join cho which is a new server where everyone is low level so you have the opportunity to learn the game with others or you can join arispotle and join the already thriving community that is extremly helpful in helping newbies

    5. the community is amazing really, they are the most helpful bunch of ppl you could ever hope to come across, its only when you get to the really high end game content/PvP do you start making life long enemies ;). you wont find much/any ganking/cheating/farming in this game

Indeed it takes a little time to get use to the "Action creation tools" (just a few things to understand like balancing stanzas (action block) and credits (counter parts representing the cost of the action based on mana HP/SAP/FOCUS/STAMINA and more...). you ll find someone to help you ingame for sure.
2.How does this compare to other big MMOs?(for example, DaoC or WoW or SWG)As I said I think that this Game is a part from other games by many aspects, first of all you don't have to pick a class for your character, anyone can be(come) anything at anytime and be be all class available. as for me I am master melee master mage master digger and also a crafter, it also it the only game enabling players to create quests with the ring.
Then I guess basic game mechanics stay roughly the same as in any game you practice on mobs they drop loot which you can either craft, destroy or sell... there are boss mobs droppin ubber mats and even a few NPCs boss like Aen the desert blade (or blade of the desert... whetever)
3.How is the lvling and skill system? Are there classes like there are in wow or is it more like FF(yes the MMO) where you create one character and get a whole bunch of skills?see above
4.Is this a fun game to start playing even though it has been out for such a long time?I think so, I started playing 14 months ago,  it s to say a year after release or so and I had tons of fun (I still do actually)
5.How is the cummunity? is this game mostly played by adults and RPGers? And not ruled by people way to young to play the game like WoW has(which creates a poor community)?Community is mostly mature, we do have a few childish guys but they get bored of being tell off by smarter asses quite quick and go back to WoW :P... Not meaning to show off or anything but I would say that we have a warm community always ready to help newbies out (either for explanation or by giving out items) Thank you for your help and good luck in your ongoing adventures!thanx and np :D
