Grey Dye (remover dye) bug

ivandoomerivandoomer Member UncommonPosts: 35

Help..!! image

I painted my bag using a red dye. Ok.

I wish to recovery my bag's original color!

GW Website says: Use the Gray Dye, is was replaced the remover dye, that does not exist more.

Ok. I applied the grey dye in my bag, and it comes... grey!

How can I restore my bag color?

Thanks =)

Rather than using the Grey Dye, I'd recommend trying a Brown Dye. However, it may just be cheaper in the longrun to just get a new bag (especially if you have Factions and some unspent Commisions).

And, for the record, Grey Dye =/= Dye Remover. The dye remover would apply a "clear" dye to an item which would restore the base color of the item (remember, I said "base" color, not "original" color which was sometimes not the base color).

Oh, I didn't know that was your backpack. Well, it'll probably still be possible to dye it the original color, but you're going to have to get creative with this one. And what I mean by that is: Dye Combo.

Did the Brown turn out too dark, or just not the right shade? Maybe mixing the Brown and Orange together could help, or maybe Brown and Silver/White.

I hate to offer such expensive suggestions, but there won't be an easy way to get it back to the original color. Honestly, I recomend dyeing it a color you can live with and move on. Just me, mind.

Isn't possible to mix dyes too, the preview menu only appears when we paint clotes =(((

When I try to apply in bag, it goes without any menu or confirmation screen, inpossible to combo :´(

Well, you could always do it the hard way. Apply a dye to a dye. This will produce a vial of Mixed dye, which you can then apply to armor/weapons/bags.

Unless they've changed that since they introduced the preview window. I doubt they'd remove manual mixing, but you don't know 'til you try.

I will just say this is really funny thread =P I didin't know that back color matters for ppl =]
hmm.. isn't there a way to get a new bag? Can you make a new char and give his bag to your old?

  • VGJusticeVGJustice Member Posts: 640

Well, if it wasn't the backpack, you could easily get a new bag for not much G. Sadly, there's no way to get a new backpack. At least, not a way that I'm aware of.

Maybe make a new character and gank if from them? I dunno, lol.

oh, nonono. Keep your current char, but make a new one and stip the backpack off the new one for the old one. I'm 90% sure that you can do that.

ah drat, they must have changed that too then. Not too sure then, seems that your pack is gonna be dyed a funky color for life then.

At least it's not hot pink or something. :P

I was interested by your post so I went and tried the dyeing my backpack thing, just to check to see what ya ment. Now I'm screwed to image

I know what ya mean its bloody anoying not being able to put it back to its first colour, and I hope they sort this bug out, bring back dye remover and make grey dye one of the proper dyes or something image
