Risk your life, great game or amusing combat system.

RYL seems to have great graphic and a new innovative combat system, but how does it stack up game wise.  Now I'm not looking for idel speculation, I want real reviews given by people who've done the Asian beta's.  I must admit this game has peaked my intrest, but I don't want to get excited over just a combat system.  Please post I'm verry interested at what you all have to say.

Try the Savage demo and play a soldier. The melee system is exactly the same as RYL (except special moves). IMO i love the combat system.

He wanted a detailed review on other aspects of the game besides the combat. Everyone is already saying the combat in the game is great, but what about the REST of the game. How's the crafting, quests, storyline, guild features, chat system, GUI, etc..?

Played Taiwan

 

Gameplay-  First you canbe 2 races Human or Demon, then form there you can choose you class.  Demon can become either a righter ype, or mage type.  Human can ebcome assassin, fighter, priest , and mage types.  At lvl 20 i believe you choose secendary class.

Human Fighter becomes defender or warrior

Human Mage can beocme sorcerer, enchanter (never tried mage)

Priests can become bishop and something else (never tried priest)

Human assasins can become rogues or archers.

have no idea on Demons because i never tried them.... you can only be one race on one account.

Of course you can make your characters either male or female.

 

Now... Gameplay-  First I tried the fghter human and the skills are amazing, they keep you entertained when you level you feel like you have accomplished something.  The first levels are easy but gradually becomes harder (duh).  Then I became a defender and got a whole new set of skills from there.  There are no skill points or anything, you get books... You buy the book then right clikc and you got the skill, of course there are requirements.  The armors and stuff were very nicely detailed and very complex.  They were a vast amount of weapons and armors. 

 

Whats wierd is that i could buy a book for another class... for instance priest spell buffs, and train them to my warrior.... I had no idea why this was because it was in chinese, and I kept accidently deleting my skills.

hey i was just wondering about the combat system... is it that fast paced like i hear it is, and can u do all thos acrobatic stunts like jump and dodge???

okay the combat system is kinda like a normal system when your going PvE. but it truly shines in PvP.

Ak'Kan (demons) get to chose between male and female, those get divided into some pretty awsome classes, (example ebing Gunner, he gets to duel weild, a gun cannon on one hand and a melee weapon in the other.

HUmans get lotsa options, but there pretty much standard stuff.

Each race gest there own new island, where you play till lvl 40-50 ish, after that you goto the "middle island" the high level mobs spawn here, but you have to compete witht he opposite race for them.

Its free PvP between the races, its really fun, even if your a low level, there is no death penalty to its pure fun, and when your an assasin (like me) or a Ak'Kan equivilant (they are pretty crazy too) you can stealth, sneak up on people jump over them and stuff

magic is really cool in the game, and lots of fun. But thats the main thing, in this game EVERYTHING is fun.. theres no crafting system but that doesnt really get in the way.
