Ok, here it goes. As I have mentioned in some of my previous posts, FFXI is absolutely the best game I have ever played imo, I love every aspect of the game. But the game is starting to get a lil old and I did play it for a lil over 2 years accomplishing almost everything there is to accomplish besides the new expansion stuff because I quit a lil before it came out, but everyday things are still great. Anyway getting to the point. The reason I made this post is because I really miss playing an MMORPG and im really 50/50 on weather im gonna restart this or play something new.
Ive played a few MMORPGs since then, lastly being Phantasy Star Universe, but I can't seem to get into them. One aspect I really loved was the ability to change jobs anytime I want. Could level warrior for a few hours and change to my ninja and level it up right after if I wanted... plus the idea of subjobs is just incredible imo. I'm not a super Online gamer so I'm not sure if many other games share these features, so I was hoping someone could help me out and let me know if there is other games out there like this.
Another thing I love about the game is traveling... may sound funny but its true. You have airships which you must physically wait for and ride to get to another continent. Regular ships which function pretty much the same way. Chocobos much like a horse of the olden days which makes trips safer and much less time. Lastly, there is magic, and I even like this because its not like it takes you to any specific spot, but a general location. So my question here is are other games like that also? I don't want a game that has 0 risk in traveling, or that any person can go to a pinpoint location anytime they feel. This part may be a lil harder to answer so I'll understand if there is not many responses to it.
Lastly, I love the fact that the game is one where you must work at. I have read way to many post about WoW where you play for a month and your at max level and are basically forced to do engame stuff. Hear that about many games actually. But in FFXI I have so much freedom to level a low lvl job, or do low level quests at any time I feel.. or I could turn to my level 75 job and do end game quest and activities. Then again, I may want to do some mining, so I could turn to a lower level job and go mining while killing some mobs for XP, in turn leveling while I'm making money, but also just chillin doing my own thing and chatting with my friends.
The main aspect I'd like anyone to keep in mind when answering my post is the job changing and subjob idea, I'm a lil spoiled by it. I guess the main question that needs asked is are there any games out there that offers such a versatile world of freedom and choices and fun all at the same time, or should I return to FFXI? Also (this is off an off the subject extra) I have heard a few rumors about Square thinking of making another FF game online in the future, can anyone verify that and/or give me some info or sites where I could research that? I been to the Square site recently and they just talk about FFXII and stuff from what I seen.
I know this was alot to read, but I just bought a new PC (though I played FFXI oh ps2 before) and its pretty pimped out, spent alot on it, and im really missing the MMO world as I already said. Plus the new collection thing for FFXI is coming out so it will be easy to move it all to the PC and get started. So any or as much info as you got that could benefit me would be much appreciated.
THANKS!!!!!

Then i played a few trials (Eve,WOW,Ryzom,Lineage etc.) Which none i enjoyed, so i then started PSU (JP) which although good the content was to a bare minimum. Now i went back to FFXI (yesterday) and wished i never left.
The point of this post was if you loved FFXI there isn't a better game out atm imo.
With the games out soon i'm looking at TCOS,Vanguard,Gods and Heroes and maybe AOC which 3 out of the 4 are due Q1 2007.
Good luck with what you choose.
uhh... welll at least i thought i was going to get the game but cant find it anywhere...
