I just wanna know how free is this game? or is it not free at all? The advertisements says its free, MMORPG.com reviews says its not. So yeah, id like some clarification. Conditions? Thanks.
Anarchy Online and its expansion Notum Wars are free. Its other two expansions Alien Invasion and Shadowlands are subscriber accessible only, as will be the upcoming Lost Eden expansion.
Zorvan is right, technically, the free part is a trial, however, this trial has an essentially unlimited playing time.
If you wish to upgrade to the expansions though, you will have to start paying monthly.
In case you're worried about potential lack of content, I went for 9 months playing the free version before I upgraded, and I still had not remotely done everything available to me.
No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main. any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind, and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee. Hemingway
The free version is the full version of the game as it was before Shadowlands was added. You can as was stated play very well at this level, and enough people are still playing the free version to keep you playign the old school way. However, I must warn you not to try the shadowlands trial. The perks, the better experiance, and perhaps the shade class will spoil you lol. I was playing again for a while and got a Shade up to 190+ after upgrading, my adventurer was around 80 or so before I updated then got him to around 140. After this I tried to play the free version again and I quit. Rubi-ka itself is great until shadowlands spoils you. Don't say I didn't warn you lol.
You can also download the large client as well, and since Notum Wars is now included, I would recommend it. Also saves you from having to re-download if/when you upgrade.
