Well I am trying out the free trial from MMORPG.COM as I have on a lot of these games and I have to admit, this is more fun than I remembered it to be way back when. I am just coming off playing Archlord and this is like heaven compared to that game.
I ran into a botter last night. This is the first one I have seen in the game even though L2 has a reputation for these types of things. I though I would see if CS in L2 is really as unresponsive as I had heard. I sent in a petition and within 5 minutes, a GM had answered me and thanked me for sending it in. The bot was in the area I was in and was stuck against the wall of the cave running back and forth. IT did this for about an hour before I sent the petition but within 5 minutes of getting the response, it was gone.
Either the person came back in and logged off or they zapped the account. Either way the response time was fast. This was also not some auto response as it quoted parts of my original post and there was a survey at the end to see how pleased I was with the service. I believe these guys are really interested in new players as they are offering a free trial and the CS so far is impressive.
Also when the free trial was not working on the first day, I sent an email in to CS and got an email back within a few hours letting me know that I could log in and everything was fine. I know a lot of people must be doing the free trial so it is nice that they are having enough CS coverage to provide a good level of service with reasonable response times. After my recent dealings with the lack of interest from the CS for Archlord I have to say this is a refreshing change.

Yeah people who say the gm's in Lineage are non existant are usually just butthurt old players. I had a problem with them deleting my old character when they merged the servers, I sent a petition, they responded saying they would send an email when they fixed it, they sent me an email litterally 30 minutes later asking what character I would like deleted to replace with my older character. I responded and within 5 minutes that character was gone replaced with the old one that I wanted back. Their CS is actually really really good.
not saying your lying but the gm could have portet the bot to another location, they defintly done a terible job on controling em in the past, doubt its suddenly gonna change.
for customer support i dont know havent needed it in years but i remember a long time ago i reactivated my account, then cancled it right away so it woulden't auto renew. I was charged right away and my play time startet but i coulden't log in before 3 or 4 days later after several mails to support back and forth.
had some other bad encounters with em and lots off other people had to, wouldent really call it teribble but not good either if you discard the whole bot problem.
Yep! The Customer Service is surprisingly good in Lineage 2!! I remember a year or so ago when I wanted to reclaim an old account that I had forgotten the password on. I pretty much got an instant reply! (this was via e-mail). They are great hard working people over at NCSoft Austin=)Props from Sweden!!
And as much as I'd like to start playing this game again (i'm a veteran from back in the Open Beta / chronicle 2-4 days, Erica server, also got some less old screenshots in the Lineage 2 user screenshots section, infact the very first user submitted screenshot submitted on mmorpg.com is right before mine, and yes, I called myself Sweork xD My more serious character from the OB / C 2-4 days was called Zikhan ), I don't think I ever will. I feel like it would require way too much of my time.
Right now I'm eagerly waiting for Warhammer 40k Online and Diablo 3=)
