Keyboard shortcuts

Hello,

Can't post on EVE forums as I'm not subscribed anymore. But is there any word from devs abotu addeding real kayboard shortcuts support for this game?

I played EVE for 2 months or so and found it great. But interface that require you click and go trough menus without any real support for hotkeys is just too cumbersome after a while, which was the reason I stopped playing.

So anyone knows CCP has any plans to implement keyboard shortcuts?

I did search official forums and there are many posts from players who miss this functionality but couldn't find any devs statement according to this issue.

There are shortcuts, not really hotkeys, and some can be configured others not, all shown and except a few settable in the Keyboard configure menue.
What came up recently is using keyboards with Macrofunction (Like the G-15 form Logitech) to create hotkeys,
though still not really a hotkeysystem.

Let alone DX10 etc. discussion but OP described missing hotkeys functinality pretty good.
The topic I link to is bit old now though and sadly there was no realy reply from Devs anyway.

When first starting EVE Online I also was looking for more hotkeys. 

The limited functions provided for setting them up can work to some extent to minimize simple stuff.  But now that I've been playing it for close to a year I really don't see what could be added to it.  You can already set Auto-pilot, undock and a few other simple commands to it and other then that there really isn't many options.

I would *hate* to see any inclusion into the game client which actually advances afk or reduced tactile game play.  Half of the game is that *you* are the pilot in command and the sucess of your choices resides upon decisiveness of your commands.

Yes they are expanding the keybourd shortcut system absed on what the players ahve posted on this.

Yeah one of the bad parts of EVE sadly. Would be great if we could get shortcuts for for example navigation (orbit, approach, warp to) and drone control (launch, attack, return).
