I think I've mentioned before that I directed this at people who continue to try and destroy the game and it's members because they have bad veiws on it.

I beleive that the Op was posting in frustration to what is a FACT on these forums. People bash wow with no real justification or reason other than they heard from their friends uncle that its just a copy of every other game.
If you look at the top 10 games on these forums you will see no wow. (And personally i believe this is because the people playing these games feel the need to up the "virtual popularity" of games like EVE and GW on mmorpg.com as opposed to actually playing them because they have become bored with them and feel the need to make them seem better than they are, but thats a different story.)
What this means is that the currently most Globally popular and played mmo isnt even rated on one of the most popular mmorpg sites, which in turn means that peoplle are forcibly downranking it so their game stays on top here on mmorpg.com. This is an extension of bashing wow.
And to all those who say it has nothing new, Ive played every mmo on the top 10 list on this site in addition pretty much everything since eq1 with all them leading to completely boring days of gaming at max level with NOTHING to do(barring eq1 which made me want to tear my eyes out), and somehow WOW has held my attention since it came out so they have obviously done something right

I've played WoW off and on ever since the beta and have always thought of it as a great game. And yes that's even after leveling a few characters to lvl 60. It doesn't matter that we like the game, there are going to be people that have negative opinions whether real or just because they want some flame time.

i take issue with some of this though. not ur opinion, of course. every1 is entitled to that. what i take issue with is the "EVE and GW r only at the top spots because of ppl bashing WOW and downranking it". this is a false statement, EVE is on top because the game rocks. there is no "max lvl" to really speak of in EVE. you could play the game for 10 yrs and still find plenty to do. GW is a very pretty game, i personnally dont like it, but still enough ppl do that it stays on top. i dont really know y WOW isnt ranked at the top, but it isnt for the reasons u stated. Oo and WOW is a patchwork of every other game out there. nothing truly unique to WOW.

Im not bashing EVE, though it certainly isnt the game for me, both the beta and the recent trial i participated in felt like a second job and not a game at all. But what i am saying is that EVE may be a great game but according to pure numbers wow should have a ranking on the top 10 here at mmorpg.com(not neccessarily number 1 but at least it the top 10) and it does not. Eventhough alot of people claim that the forums are filled with wow users.

i understand what ur saying and i agree about the WOW no ranking thing. it doesnt really make much sense really. but EVE and GW r great games in their own rite. EVE is stunning really. i dont play either one. i did play EVE for a long time, but i want armor and swords and such, EVE doesnt offer that. and GW is a single player game masked as a MMO. Not me style, but stunning nevertheless. thats all i was saying.

If they have taken the time to make a long post , whats the problem ? they've obiously played the game long enough to form an opinion and are perfectly within their rights to post in whatever forum they currently have access to. especially if they want people who play and develop the game to read (or have a chance to read) their feedback.
You had me convinced you were exagerating for dramtic effect, up to this post, now it just looks like you want to stop anybody saying negative things about the game you play, in fact (If the post was full of constructive) criticism it's likely that Blizzard would see some truthes and attempt to fix them (I say attempt, because Blizzard fixes are often worse than the problem than they are trying to fix).
Its quite likely a lot of the people who do complain the most about wow are the ones who really want to see it get better, if they are denied a voice like you seem to wish then they are likely to move on and aside from Blizzard loosing a little revenue they also pontentially are loosing people who DO have something to contribute.

i take issue with some of this though. not ur opinion, of course. every1 is entitled to that. what i take issue with is the "EVE and GW r only at the top spots because of ppl bashing WOW and downranking it". this is a false statement, EVE is on top because the game rocks. there is no "max lvl" to really speak of in EVE. you could play the game for 10 yrs and still find plenty to do. GW is a very pretty game, i personnally dont like it, but still enough ppl do that it stays on top. i dont really know y WOW isnt ranked at the top, but it isnt for the reasons u stated. Oo and WOW is a patchwork of every other game out there. nothing truly unique to WOW.
I beleive that the Op was posting in frustration to what is a FACT on these forums. People bash wow with no real justification or reason other than they heard from their friends uncle that its just a copy of every other game.
believe me WOW is not the only game that deals with this. EQII is a great game, yet just about everyday there is a "WOW owns EQII" thread in there. a new one i mean, everyday.
Im not bashing EVE, though it certainly isnt the game for me, both the beta and the recent trial i participated in felt like a second job and not a game at all. But what i am saying is that EVE may be a great game but according to pure numbers wow should have a ranking on the top 10 here at mmorpg.com(not neccessarily number 1 but at least it the top 10) and it does not. Eventhough alot of people claim that the forums are filled with wow users.

i understand what ur saying and i agree about the WOW no ranking thing. it doesnt really make much sense really. but EVE and GW r great games in their own rite. EVE is stunning really. i dont play either one. i did play EVE for a long time, but i want armor and swords and such, EVE doesnt offer that. and GW is a single player game masked as a MMO. Not me style, but stunning nevertheless. thats all i was saying.

You had me convinced you were exagerating for dramtic effect, up to this post, now it just looks like you want to stop anybody saying negative things about the game you play, in fact (If the post was full of constructive) criticism it's likely that Blizzard would see some truthes and attempt to fix them (I say attempt, because Blizzard fixes are often worse than the problem than they are trying to fix).
Its quite likely a lot of the people who do complain the most about wow are the ones who really want to see it get better, if they are denied a voice like you seem to wish then they are likely to move on and aside from Blizzard loosing a little revenue they also pontentially are loosing people who DO have something to contribute.
