Hmm, I guess my point wasn't directly saying "pick a class that can't PvP." I mean yes, tanks can be good in pvp, and so can prophets with mana burn, etc, etc.
My point is though hypothetically if there were 2 tank war tags and 2 lets say nuker war tags and they saw each other, most likely the nukers would win. But then it all depends on the situation, and who the tank is. If the tanks are a DA or lets say a SK and they ambush the two nuker type classes and root them along with stunning and with the SK's magic attacks and the DA's panther, the tanks could win too. But it would all depend on if the tanks reach the nuker and stun or root lands...whereas being a nuker you are pretty much sure 100% that you will be constaintly hitting that tank for lots of damage.
In mass PvP seige type scenarios, range usually just wins. Be it archers, nukers whatever, unless you have a melee zerg and melee are definately good for soaking up damage to keep them off of the 'fragile' nukers.
But besides PvP, I mainly say if you aren't into PvP don't pick a "PvP class" or the type people classify as such, meaning Archers and Nukers, because I guarntee you that PvP clans will be looking for you and you will NOT be a dime a dozen unlike of you pick a Sword Singer, Blade Dancer, or Tank Class. Tanks are more importaint for lets say, Raids instead of a seige...if you see what I am getting at. Although the best PvE class (or most will say) is a nuker anyway, the SH....
I guess the best class to go if you don't like PvP and would rather play around in town with the markets or just do some good ol' monster bashing would be the Scavenger ---> Bounty Hunter... Everyone knows that Dwarves aren't a real good PvP class and if you want to make sure you stay off the seige field becoming a warsmith would be the wrong move. Plus High level Bounter Hunters can "spoil" mobs for A grade helm recipies that rake in the adena like no tomorrow. I have a scavy friend that made 1 billion adena since the patch for the spoil of A grade Helm recs...and that is a lot of adena.
So basically, any class can PvP and do a good job given them a situation that is in their favor. Small areas are better for melee. Large areas better for range. Some classes are just overpowered in pvp such as necromancers... But even a simple buffer such as a prophet can kill nukers and archers, and daggers if equipped correctly. But if you don't wan't PvP picking a class that has PvE advantages such as making lots of money or being very importaint in taking raid bosses gives you something else to strive for, along with being a rarer class. In the end though, it is all what you find more fun in PvE, since daggers (belive it or not) are pretty damn fun in PvE with their silent step and extra breath boosting abilities. Perfect for the adventurer.
