    Why? Because players rule the world, not NPC's, not developers.  Open combat.  I can utterly destory the city of that player that ganked me when I was lower level, if I want (and if I have the army to do it with).  Its constant strife.  Player justice, not fake restrictions on combat that get rid of the RPG part of a MMO.

    Lots of class/race combos to keep you busy with new templates to try out and see what you like.  Level 50's can kill level 75's, and within a week you could hit level 75 if you tried hard(or days), or just stay level 60 and PvP your way to level 75.

    Its a community based game.  Without a guild, you have no chance.  Its based on players and player friendship.  If you cant trust the people you live with, you will be crushed.

    Also, its free.

    EVE Online, because it's the only one that has put original ideas in a game and made them work. Therefore is the only one worth me spending my money on.

    EVE Online for the reasons Zeno listed for playing Shadowbane.  I would play Shadowbane but everything except the concept is lacking.

    Basically because I've tried every other MMORPG out on the market (for the most part), and it has the most to offer.

    Random games I haven't tried that are either free or trial. I don't
    think I'll be playing any MMORPG for more then a week before 2008
    because I've tried everything that is out and the upcoming games that
    look good will be pushed back as always.

    EQ2. It is the most involved and fun game out there at this time. I have my eyes on some new ones coming up but right now I am looking forward to the new eq2 expansion coming out next week.

    EQ2, L2 and WoW.  Honestly more the former two than the latter while I am waiting for TBC to arrive in January, and then I expect I will be more focused on WoW for a few months after that.

    In all, really looking forward to WAR towards this time next year ... it has a great chance to be the next big thing.
