I baught this game in 2003. Then stopped I wanna return and the grind is not a big deal, since I will always remember the stories. The toons look cool also.

Info:

1)play a healer 2) Solo a bit but not much 3) Use online resources to help me 4) Don't wanna buy all the expansions yet 5)Can't dedicate to much time but not really casual either.

I have a 1.3 Gig Duron system with 768 Megs of memory with a 128 Meg video card.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Does it take longer to level as a Healer in this game? I'm not really melee.

Is the toon I made two years ago gone?

Will the game play suck now that it is overrun by farmers a messed up economy (including auction house)?

What is the deal with the Cloud Mod Toon in this game and does it screw things up?

Where do I start if I have to start all over lol?

Have a lot of people left this game like COV and COH?

Can anyone help me when I come back or is the game so old that you will remain guildless if you start now.

Have the exploits and cheats messed up the game?

Cheers and thanks, this game had a better feel then when when I first started, now I don't know.

-No, Every party Needs a healer. Untill you hit endgame, Healer & Tank are two top priority jobs.

    -Yes, Long gone.

    -Simple Fact, Its not anymore.

-Dat mods are only viewable by you, They affect noone else.

-In one of the starting Cities. Windurst, San'doria, or Bastok.

-People in Video Game development estimate FFXI has another 4-5 Years before it starts to die, That means we're only 1/2 way through its life.

-Check out the Join Fenrir thread.

-There arn't that many to begein with, And only really affect NM or HNM camping.

And now the bad news: the registration codes you used to make your account two years ago cannot be used again. I'm afraid if you want to start a new account you're going to have to buy the game again. You can get the 2007 Vana'diel Collection for $25 to $30, and as a nice bonus you'll get all the expansions. If you were going to play for serious, you'd be wanting those expansions sooner or later anyways and this is the best way to get them, so you'd likely have been buying it eventually in any case. In my opinion, it's worth it, but I will admit it's a bit cheesy to make you buy the game again.
