None of the programming languages really cost anything...  I mean a few might, like custom made ones but C++ and Java are free.  I didnn't think they were that hard to learn, but you might.  It all depends on how fast ya get it image

"cause java is pretty big to dl on my computer"

What do you mean by download? You don't download the language, itself, you study the language and download the language compiler in order to write the programs and then compile them into executables.

p.s. I, personally, don't know where you could find a free compiler but I know there are some out there. Also, there are many tutorials on Java, C, C++, etc. If you aren't familiar with programming at all, then I'd suggest starting out with C++ or some such thing. I started out with QBASIC which was fun and easy but now I find it hard to understand the more complex and indepth languages such as java and c++. Here's a site to check out for learning the language: http://www.cplusplus.com/doc/tutorial/  The URL pretty much says it all...

I haven't checked into it but try this one. It seems to have a good user rating based on 1000+ votes. I guess I'll try to dl it and check out its features. My compiler is from Metroworks. It's Codewarrior (compiler for c, c++, and java). I don't believe there's any place you could find it free. heh but...as long as you've got something to compile your code...

p.s. Yep, looks good to me.image

There are a lot of good free compilers you can download , and your computer cant possibly not have space for them. Just try looking on the net for one, or if youve yet to learn how to program then buy a book which comes with a compiler, i did that once and it helped lots.

It has plenty of space its just takes awhile to download somethings which is a pain.

Check out Python before starting out on advanced OOL [Object Orientated Languages] - it's a nice introduction to the subject. Have meant to actually get into learning Python but like so many things, never actually got around to it (yet).

The following site is a nice How To guide on the subject:

    http://www.python.org/

    Hope this helps!

P.s. Before you learn a language, you need to think about what you hope to accomplish. It's about using the correct tools for the correct job.
