since more and more"Beta" games appear on the market, i am no more willing to pay any cash for games i havent tested.

Archlord developers, if you  think your game is good, why arent you offering an TRIAL ??

Well the game doesnt appear to be in a great state at the moment, and since it hasnt been out long a trial is a bad idea. They need to iron out the kinks, and get the game to an acceptable stage before releasing a trial. If you give out a free trial and the game is terrible, you can wave goodbye to any chance of anyone subscribing to the game ;)

They do have a free trial actually. everyone who bought the game received an extra 14 day buddy-trial key. just contact someone who's already playing the game.

AL had an open Beta....you missed it.

FFXI has never had a Trial ,has ~ 30 servers and has been around for about 3 years.

soon everyone who is playing will recieve 5 key's to distribute to ppl who wanne test the game. They will recieve extra credits for it if the person then actually pay's for atleast 1 month.

I think the mean reason why they don't giveout the free trails is because it would be to easy for sellers/botters to create a pointless ammount of accounts for 7-14 days  and ruin the economy's, so it's a good thing that they will distibute it from mouth to mouth and personal key's instead of mass dealing trailkey's.

they don't have a free trial because then people would realize how broken and unfinished the game is without wasting cash to buy it and then find out. image

If i understand correctly, there is as many free trials as the number of people who bought a copy of the game. That aint exacly "free trial" for everyone. you can call it a free trial, but i wouldnt. a free trial should be unlimited for everyone to download og try...

it's already as i stated.. 90% of the games where u have unlimited free trails, those accounts are used by moneysellers and botters... If u wouldhave a 7-14 day's trail for unlimited ammount of ppl the game would be messed in a few months..

If u really wanne test the game, it's not that hard to get a key. Alot of people have key's to give away. U just need to ask them. U can't also just download the game via a legal way. U have to use torrents or newsgroups or whatever, so when u know someone who has the disks he has a trail key.

They seems to want to build up the playerbase slow but good, without haveing 10 million accounts not beeing used or used for moneyhunting

Sorry otta, but i must have unintentionally skipped your first post...

i agree and see why they wanna do it this way, but if someone out there is like me, they wont go here, or anywhere else to ask for a free trial. if im gonna try a game it has to be as simple as; go to offical homepage, download free trail and play.

not a big deal, just i wont bother trying a archlord "buddy key" trial image
