FFXI good on 360?

in Final Fantasy XI

 
  I have a gaming pc.  But i'm just wantin something new.  So i went out and bought an xbox 360 a few weeks ago, and i'm loving it.    Is the 360 version of FFXI any good?  better graphics? 

  Is there a pretty good community? Plenty to group with?

    If you have a Gaming PC, then yoru PC will fair alot better than 360. I'm not sure what it is, but the 360 Can be quite laggy. The Graphics arn't really better, Because you can Tweak your Graphics on PC by editing the Registery. I understand wanting to use somthing diffrent, You can use the 360 Controllers on PC, Get the Drives off the Microsft website or Buy somthign similiar to a Ps2 Controller. (The keyboard works great, but some people just want a controller)

    FFXI's community is pretty good, I know it varies from server to server. But for the players who actually play it long enough to become a member of the community they'll say its good.

    Grouping just depends on what Job you are, What time you play. FFXI was officionally Released in North America, Europe, and Japan. So depending on what time you log on, You'll be playing with Different People.

    yeah, 360 is sapost to have a bit better graphis, but I dont know.  One thing I do know, it seem some people on the 360 are having connection issues every now and then with it, so thats one thing to think of.  The community is pretty good in FFXI, I do recomend giving it a shot!

       Ok, thanks for the info.   I'm still interested in playing it on my Xbox 360, i just bought a Hi-Def LCD monitor. And I got Cable High speed interent.  So while im not playing Gears of War, i thought id pick up an mmo.

     

    Anyone else play it on the 360? Have any opinions?

    It doesn't matter what Platform you're on, FFXI was the first Cross Platform game, Wheather it be PC, Ps2, or 360 Everyone plays togeather on the same servers. Monthly fee's are the same, The cost in games is similiar, It just comes down to where you prefer to play. Computer Chair or Living room chair.

    Wrong the 360 costs more to play on due to a microsoft fee along with it. So stick with the PC version =).

    [[ DEAD ]] - Funny - I deleted my account on the site using the cancel account button.  Forum user is separate and still exists with no way of deleting it. Delete it admins. Do it, this ends now.

    No you're wrong. FFXI has its own montly fee, It doesn't matter if you have Xbox Live Silver or Gold. The cost to play FFXI is the same. You're not paying Microsoft to Connect to their servers(Xbox Live Gold), You're paying Square Enix (FFXI Montly Fee). So the Free Silver is fine.

    I'm on PC myself. And I've been playing for about 2 1/2 years... So I think that means I like it >.> image

    Edit: Forgot somthing, FFXI being Cross Platform, You can play your Account on 360, PC, or Ps2. (If you had the resorces to install the game, Such as Borrowing the Install Disks from a friend) So no matter what platform you start on you're not tied to it.

    Appreciate it man!..   Well i could prlly come across discs from both plats forms to play it on 360 at home, and mabye on my lappy on the road yanno.
