When you are dead you get to respawn. That takes from 5 seconds up to 30 seconds or so, depending on what bases you got, and how many times you've died in the latest 10 minutes.
You will be able to spawn in the closes base, closest tower, and closest AMS (Mobile spawn point). As well as 2 bind locations which you set yourself, one AMS and one base possible. AND you can always spawn in your Sanctuary.
You do not loose any experience when you die. But you do loose any Stolen equipment you had on you when you died. (That is, you drop all the equipment you have on you).
Dieing isn't that bad if you got a spawnpoint nearby, which you usually do. And if you like to have a spawn point close, become an AMS driver, like me, and help out your empire.

It's more like a Massive Multiplayer Online FPS.
It's not laggy at all for me.
It's pretty fun too, as long as you don't get killed (which pisses me off)
Try it out i'd say.
