Who thinks that final fantasy is a rpg which has never been matched?  I love final fantasy and i just picked up Crystal Chronicles which is noice!!!

i just rented crystal chronicles, it was a little dissapointing. but i agree, ff is a world leading rpg.

What do u expect from any game which is on the game cube.  It seems like gamecube is made for younger kids.  The only gory game ive seen thats come out for it isnt gory at all.  Twin Snakes:Metal Gear Solid.

Baldurs Gate II was the best MMRPG ever made.

All people in Final Fantasy look like girls, except that the guys just dont have boobs.

Well I can only talk about what I know, and I havent played baldurs gate 2.  I heard it was good though.  Can you play single player?

Ya, Baldurs Gate is a pretty much complete singleplayer game, possibility to play multi, but its the storyline, dialogue, interaction, etc. that make it superlative.

So which one do you reccomend, 2 or 1?  By the way, have you ever played any final fantasy?  If so, which one?

i thought chrono cross was an insanely well-made rpg, never played chrono trigger though. its the only console rpg ive played through more than once, at least 5 times now. its got kind of a pokemon esque addictiveness to it, being gettin all the characters, i forget the number. the suikoden series is also cool, as is wild arms. final fantasy 7 was the first game i got for my playstation, and i remember the scene where cloud looks up at the reactor... some reason that just got me. the final fantasy series is more cinematic and epic than most rpg's, and somehow keeps the story fresh in each game, but still very gripping and hard to put down in a sense. other than that they seem pretty by-the-numbers to me. dont get me wrong though, final fantasy games are like interactive art, and have some of the best music... ever. but theres more... fun games out there, and thats why chrono cross is my favorite. its very short, but very fun each time. and the story's not bad either, and the music really keeps the game going, its always changing. most rpg's wouldnt be the same without the music.

I am sure I'm probably in the minority but other then FFIX (which I liked a lot) I havent really cared for any of the FF games.

There are many better rpgs imo, but keep em coming, the more rpgs to choose from the better.

Actually I never played BG 1, so I'd go with BGII. As for Final Fantasy....Hrm....been such a long time, I belive it was....7.

I like Chrono Cross.  I played chrono trigger on an emulator but never got into it.  I've played many RPG's but Final Fantasy 7, 9, and 10 are just so good.  I guess I love the cinematics so much, along with the gameplay.  Have you guys ever played Kingdom Hearts?  That game is also very good.  I thought it would be stupid but I love it.

Almost forgot.  For those of you who played Super Smash Brothers, Ness comes from a fascinating RPG called Earthbound.  I remember when I bought it back in the day, it was 15 bucks and it came with a guide.  It is so amazing how expensive games are getting.  I think MMO's should be free and then you pay the monthly fee.  Its getting ridiculous.
