    Ahh well i didn't get in. Guess I'll have to take up my time playing UT2004 or Ryzom i they ever send the beta cd's...

    Oh anyone else knowtice this was a whole day early. Someone needs to get them a calendar.

    Huh?  It wasnt a day early, it started at 12:01am on the 15th.  The contest said the drawing was on the 15th so....

    If its true that when you drop a cat it lands on its feet or if you drop toast it lands butter-side down... what happens if you strap toast to a cats back and drop it?

    And as another of your staff said where we dont have to enter if we dont want to.. That might be true but some of us actually want to try to help the MMO world put a decent product out there.. Its been awhile you know since a decent well tested and made game has come out.

    Yes, I said that, and I meant it, TO the people who seem to only complain about not winning every contest. If you can't handle that it is completely random, which does indeed mean that someone registering at the site the day of the contest ONLY for that contest does indeed have a chance to win, then don't play. If yer gonna play, don't be a sore loser is all I meant. I never won a single contest before becoming Staff, and now I'm ineligible for them, I never called the system unfair or complained about it, I just made sure I was entered for the next contest and hoped I won it.

    This has nothing to do with a RANDOM contest at a NON-AFFILIATED COH site like MMORPG.COM . If this is your concern take it to the City of Heroes board and dev. team. These are the only people with vested interest in the quality of the beta test group. The 20 people that get selected from this site will have minimal if any impact on the game which is already being tested by a group selected by CoH. I'm sure the winners here are just "extras" thrown in by COH to promote their game at this site.

    The staff here managed to get some free beta entries for us and gave them away in a free random draw. If you are truly worried about the quality of the COH beta testers go to their site!

    You have heard from 3 Staff members concerning this contest and Admin regarding others and how the contest system works.

    • Those that are picked are picked from random.
    • Someone registering on the site the day of the contest has just as much chance of winning as someone who registered 2 years ago.
    • Your rank or the number of posts you have to your nickname have no bearing on your chances of winning.
    • All Contests are drawn according to USA Eastern Standard Time. Take note of the specific times!
    • Staff may not participate in contests.
    • 250 out of 500 are picked for eg. because of verification reasons. It would take hours even days if we had to wait for the exact 500 winners to confirm. Meanwhile those already confirmed would have to wait.
    • Read the contest rules before entering. A lot of what is stated above is cleary defined in them. Staff should not have to re-read them for you.
