KillerNIC Put up or...

I keep seeing these advetisments of the KillerNIC on MMORPG and I would like to see them put on a contest here on MMORPG and give some of these away to some players so that they can give an acurate review on the product. Anyone one else intersted in seeing this ..then vote

    This isn't how contests work.

And the KillerNIC is a ripoff.

That is my overall take on it but I would like to know and give them a chance to prove otherwise.

From what I understand, some games work well with it and others do not.

Its been proven already, its a 2-3% perfomance gain under certain conditions. That means such a small boost to ping it makes no noticible difference (the problem is the quality of components in the servers between you & the game-server).
Think it was tomshardware that had a test on it.

Then again there are always people that buy flashy meaningless items just for bragging.

Review for the KillerNIC card. Read the review and judge for yourself if an improvement of 2-3% in your ping is worth paying $250-280 bucks for this thing.

Personally I don't think its worth it if you're a regular gamer or even a hardcore one. But if you're into professional gaming and tournaments perhaps the 2-3% improvement in your gaming rig can give you a slight edge.

from what i read in max pc, it does work but not enough to cost $250 or whatever insane amount it costs.  you'd be better off saving up for say.... 5 MMO's or 1 MMO and a crap load of sub fees!

Its mainly for LAN-ing and hosting a small server cluster. It will do absolutely nothing when say surfing the web or playing an MMO. Hell that 2-3% isnt going to do anything no matter what conditions its under. What im saying is, its a worthless piece of shit.
