PvE

I am very new to the AoC crowd and i was curious what the PvE end game was like. Are there instances like World of Warcraft, or are the bosses all out doors? Is there alot of options for PvEing in the beta yet or are they still trying to implement this?

I would not be suprised if the answer to this is "it is unkown" or something along those lines, but any information on the PvE would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

We really haven't been given what the game from 60 -80 is going to be like yet. Though I'm sure it will envolve defending your city from NPC humanoids.

As Meso mentioned, the endgame revolves around battlekeeps. Any guild can build a city in either a PvP or a resource zone, or both for that matter.

Lets focus on the resource zones for the moment, upon your arrival, computer controlled enemies begin swarming. They get to work building a "sister city" across from yours. Once they are strong enough, they begin to send out raiding parties, attacking your keep constantly with stronger and stronger groups. Obviously, it is then desirable to hit first, sieging their city and razing it to the ground.

However, the best rewards are available to those who are strong enough to allow the NPC city to grow to its maximum size, and only then sieging it. It becomes a balancing act between how much you think you can handle, and the desired rewards.

No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main. any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind, and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.
