Old SWG Servers

I just started playing SWG again. It's been like 6 months. I was just hanging around the tutorial area helping people out and then this guy and I struck up a conversation. He told me he has a friend whos a friend of a GM and the GM said that in two months SWG will make Pre-NGE and Pre-CU server. They will keep the post-NGE servers too. The servers will be owned by the company that owned SWG before SOE. He also mentioned something happening in 10 months too, but I forgot image.

I don't know if this is true but maybe if it is, we should keep a steady eye watching SWG.

Also, I joined last night and I'm sad to say that no one plays anymore. Bria, like the most active server only has a medium ammount of people. It's so depressing. Even if they changed crafting and combat. It IS a new game, everyone who's a vet should get back into it. It's not like they changed an amazing game, they just made a new amazing game image.

So anyways, yea, I don't know if it's true, but if it is I hope I made some peoples days by posting this.

    That all depends if you ever considered SWG an "amazing" game to begin with :P

    My firends mothers sisters cousins borothers firend told your mothers sisters cousins borothers firend a joke and you belived it. Its time for SWG to die and it will the same is started with lots of bug. Sad I liked it back in a day now its just crap

    Rumurs like this have been around sence SOE launched the CU. In other words dont hold your breath (unless you like the NGE then please hold your breath)

    Im just curious why you started playing that game AGAIN. SOE has been talking of all these changes and "improvments to the game", but it just seems they keep destroying it more. They did have an update a few months back thats still in the process of bringing the skill trees for the classes kinda back to the way they were, but not enough to give SOE the pleasure of staying with them. What hurts the most is the idea behind a Star wars mmorpg is OUTSTANDING !!!! i finally had to give up and cancel my subscription even though i was holding on for deer life to keep it. I just wish things could go back to the way they were :( and we have been requesting pre-CU servers ever since the nge came out. Well its been over half a year and we are still waiting. Maybe you might get a early X-mas present but i doubt it.

    I Agree with this part. :P

    Also I think SWG will be dead shortly with all the changes they made to it

    could be just me not remembering,m but i played SWG in beta and right up until the CU. it was always owned by SOE

    SOE developed it with Lucas Arts as the publisher. I've heard that rumor a million times as well. Highly doubtful they would open servers like that. It would take too much upkeep to run different sets of code. They are so disorganized already...not sure they could handle it.
