Best areas for lvl 40?

in Everquest II
Can someone let me know the best places to gain xp for my lvl 42 toon? Also, are there any expansion packs or adventure packs geared specifically for those in the low to mid 40s? Thanks.

    At 42 you have the choices of Feerrott (my favorite from these four), Lavastorm, Rivervale and Everfrost.

    At around 45/46 you can go to the Sinking Sands but you would need the Desert of Flames expansion for that.

    Thanks, do you think DoF is a good exp for those in the mid to high 40s? Is it worth getting?

    I think its a definate must have to level.  It was designed for levels 45-60 and you would have a hard time getting those levels without the expansion.

    That being said, if you have no expansions currently then get the latest one Echoes of Faydwer as it includes the other two as well.

    For solo play I like SS for mid-high 40’s.  There is a lot more solo content there then the older zones including quite a few quest lines near the docks that you can at least start in that range.  This includes the quest line for your carpet mount.   The Peacock quest line in Maj also starts in the mid 40’s, and will keep you very busy until level 60.  

     

    For group playing the mid 40’s I prefer CT but there are also a few HQ’s you will want to work on.  You don’t need DoF for these.  I’m not sure what EoF has to offer in that level range yet, but if it’s anything like the zones I’ve seen so far it will be good.
