The best Fantasy PvP/PvE MMORPG of all?

          I think every MMORPG gamer is asking himself the same thing. So really what MMORPG has the best gameplay- I DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE AMOUNT OF PLAYERS. Below in the poll box I have listed some of the top MMORPG'S that I have gathered together. Feel free to list more MMORPG than there is in the poll box.Please do not get off topic or start yelling at people for matter of opinion and please no saying 1 game sucks...Remember this is a matter of oppinion.     bump.

    look like eve's getting some votes.  its a good game in my eye's but the combat is too off hands(yes there are things to watch, and yes it can get very tactical), but the community almost makes it worth playing.



    I find it amazing that by 2020 first world countries will be competing to get immigrants.

    Guildwars!  Dual classing with 10 character classes means 90 possible class combinations for your character.  Tons of feat based skills... attacks, chants, echos, forms, glyphs, pet skills, preperations, rituals, shouts, signets, spells, stances and traps.  Great storyline spanning the original game plus two expansions.  An absolutely huge world to explore.  Elite missions instead of raiding (no raids! yay!).  Tons of PvP types... random arena, team arena, hall of heroes, heroes ascent, alliance battles, guild versus guild.  Weapons and armor that can be heavily modified to fit your characters build.  The freedom to change your characters build whenever you want (including changing your secondary class).  Rock solid, beautiful yet not overly demanding game engine.  On the fly patching without the need for "maintenance days".  Guild halls.  Guild alliances.  Scored challenge missions.  Ladder tournaments.

    Yeah. I love Guildwars :D

    Um PvP and PvE? I think certain mmorpgs have done specifically PvP or PVE best but not both together. I guess I would say WoW was probably the best combination of the two but would perhaps rate individually pvp or pve better in other games.

    My personal favorite : Dark Age of Camelot

    although there many mmorpg with some of the aspect beter then others dAoC still gave me the best overall feel

    Fantasy or not?  Your title says fantasy MMOs, yet your list contains non-fantasy MMOs like EVE and AO.

    best combination of PVE and PVP ?

    Warcraft hands down no competition.

    I wouild not however rank it as the best PVP game. PVE wise its near the top but not the best. I wouldn't rank EVE because it has no credible PVE game. Its all about what goes on in 0,0 space and that game is tied for number 1 in PVP with DAOC. Of which Warhammer will surpass both very soon.

    Personally i would vote for eve usually but your title said best fantasy so i voted for guildwars.

    Kind of a messy poll.

    1) Final Fantasy isn't even an MMORPG.
    2) You ask for which game has the best gameplay but then ask for PvP and PvE.
    3) You list Lineage and Everquest both with their sequels. The sequels are almost completely different than the originals in both cases, which is going to make for a seriously skewed poll (having two sets of diverse players voting for the same entry for completely different reasons).
    4) As has been stated before, you ask for fantasy games and include sci-fi games.

    I like polls and all, especially when they are civilized (as all the posts here have been) and stay on topic of personal opinion and not critiquing others. That being said, I think this one should have been more concise and well-thought out so that the pollers knew exactly what criteria to bear in mind.

    Final Fantasy XI most certainly *is* an MMORPG, and a pretty good one. However, it's the only one that is, so "Final Fantasy (any of them)" doesn't make much sense.

    The problem I have with this poll is that IMO PvP and PvE gameplay are mutually exclusive. Consequently if a game includes a bit of each, then it will be a mediocre experience at best. So asking which is the best PvP/PvE MMO is really asking about a fairly average overall game.
