Combat Question...

Is the combat system mainly Click and Wait? Only just done with the Tutorial and doing the early mission (Collect X Chopper Keys...) and from what I've seen it's just click and watch your guy attack. Does it open up a bit more later on, adding in grapple throws etc? The combat looks quite cool but it sucks not being so hands on' about how you do things, hoping maybe it opens up a bit more. The Review isn't too indepth about how combat is handled in MxO so I was hoping one of you more experienced MxO players could give me a better idea of what it's like later on.

I don't quite know what you mean by "grapple throws". There are, indeed, many various throw animations in the game (Self Defense which you're using now, and Aikido, both the green grab tactic), but those aren't any more interactive than the rest.

Interlock is built on rounds, so you can always choose the tactic you want to perform in the next one, or an attack ability that replaces the tactic for that round. Some abilities (mostly self buffs) can be activated independently from the Interlock system.

In this case and in the case of free fire, you really just click and attack after the activation timer's up.

    You can't control particular moves.

While you can not control thing such as indivisual punchs (as their handled by the round animations) you do directly control the use of special abilities. These including mid battle buffs, attacking moves, healing etc etc.

Not to mention theres choosing which style to use in certain circumstances.

MxO combat is certain not 'click and watch' in a boring 'click and i wait till the battles over' sense, it definately needs attention and reactions from the player pretty much all the time.
