Uh...question about Starting Accounts with EverQuest: Evolutions...

I bought EverQuest: Evolutions, and it says clearly on the front "30 Day Subscription INCLUDED". However, it talks about some kind of stipulations on the back. What I'm basically asking is: Do I need to buy a 90-day Gamecard (I don't have nor have access to a credit card) to receive my free 30 days? So would I essentially be getting 120 days for paying for 90?

I have often wanted to drown my troubles, but I can't get my wife to go swimming.

I use a credit card to play Everquest. And this it how it works.

Once you have created your account and send the billing info in you get the 30 days free starting immediatly after that meaning that your billing period does not start till after those 30 days.  You also have 30 days to cancel because the billing is final.  This might be the same for the game card as well you get the 30 days free then your 90 day period begins.

If you have already signed up go to the station website and check out your account details (billing info) if should be the 90 + the 30 days free. If not contact Sony about it. http://www.station.sony.com/en/

Example it says start time and next billing period

Good luck I hope this helps.

I play EQ and pay using Game Cards. From my experience, and from what I know..... To get the free 30 days you MUST first sign up using a Credit Card.

Then SONY/Varant will NOT charge you at all for the first 30 days. On the 29th day you click on "Cancel". Then let 2-3 days pass. Then login again. It will say your account is not paid for. You then enter your gamecard info.

Ask your parent, older brother/sister etc if you can use their credit card to sign up. Say you need a credit card to sign up, then you can pay for it yourself with your gamecard. (Make darn sure you mark on your callender when 29 days are over.) Heck, tape a piece of paper to your monitor the date you must cancel on heheh.

I know, it's really a way for SONY to make it easier for THEM to automatically charge customers who forget to cancel on the 29th day. But hey, SONY is out to make $$$$$ any way possible  - including from lazy customers who are too lazy to click cancel after signing up using a credit card.

No access to any credit cards. My family pays for everything in cold, hard cash. So Game Cards are all I can use.

Hmm you really might want to send  a message Sony/Verant about this. Tell them your situation and see if they can help at all.  They probably won't because the customer service for Sony is terrible. So you might  have to find a really nice person that will do it for you (friend relative, etc).
