The crafting system will be released post launch.
No detailed information on the crafting system itself has been released.
There will however be an npc blacksmith in the player-camps useable by the player for minion upgrades and equipment.
Yes Gods and Heroes Online has an entire genre of mythology to work with which im sure can be something overwelming to work with. The right companay is at hand to make Gods and Heroes Online a sucess which of course is Perpetual Entertainment.
Perpetual Entertainment was founded in March 2002 and is an American developer, publisher and operator of networked multiplayer games and MMORPGs. Their headquarters is in San Francisco, California, USA. Does any one know a bit about the Raiding/grouping in Gods and Heroes Online? and how there being implemented into the PvE. The part about controlling mutliple minions sounds interesting to me but is it class oriented or is every race going to be able to do this? How about instancing?
This is one of my favorite titles so far!!
account but with their trouble i guess i will have to wait from
G&H. Guess im going to install some old single player games
until then. Crimson Skies, Freespace, or ceasar 3 hmm....

Well there's of corse alot of info on the web sight about this, but ill give you what i know so far.
There will be RAIDS, only in GnH they will be a little diffrent, insted of the 40 man or 60 man RAID there will be 8-10 man RAIDs with minion's...so think on that for a sec, 8 player's with 8 minions each... wheww can you say ARMY...Any how, Deo, (used to be JFM), said in one of his blogs that later in the game they may allow for larger groups of player do RAIDs, all pinding on level...end game stuff I'm guessing...The reasons for this is really quite a smart one, less people to roll aginst over epic loot drops, it will be a heck of alot easier to get a 8 man RAID together than it dose a 40 man, (which i think we all can agree can take for ever!), and this will make for a closer bond between players, (cuz if your like me it's easy to get over looked in a group with 40 people).
As for as instancing, there will be plinty of it, I also had this question flowting around in the back of my head, till i finely posted on the forums and asked the community, and Deo answerd and said that there would be places in the game were player's will be instanced, (doing a quest that you would not want to be interupted with, this will take away from the wating for boss to re-spawn crap). Also there would be instances that would encurage group play, and allow for a larger amount of player to take out quest's together, (somthing like WoW but maybe on a smaller player scale, sense it will only take 2-3 player with 4-6 minions to take down a instance).
Hope this helps, if you have any more questions i would really recomend going to the GnH website, and if you sign up in the forum's thin you are already signed up for open beta when it come's out...(i hope some time this Christmas brake, but I'm not sure when). See you soon in Rome!

Iv yet to read about the P2P(paytooplay) price of Gods and Heroes. Id assume it will be 15.00$ monthly.
I picked up a copy of the new Massive magazine last night. Theres a article in it about Gods and Heroes. I quote " Perpetual Entertainment's Gods and Heroes allows you to accumulate an entire squad of additional muscle, healing, and spell casting. What's more, the game revolves around battles that pit these expanded groups against on another and the denizens of the forest, desert, and mountains that get in your way as you strive to establish rome's supremacy."
Arnt the previews for this title outstanding!
Are old forums maneger, said that it would be know more than all the other MMORPG's out there, meaning it would more than likely be $15.00 a month, or less.
hehe
I want to get this game soon! Its gota be nearing its release because I seen it for 49.99$ in Massive magazine. Is any one else as hyped about this title as I am.
I'm also very excited about this game, but I'm starting to get sick of the sadness in waiting so long. But it looks worth it, guess we will have to see.
The relese has been set back to first part of Summer '07

I believe the delay is due to a redesign of the minion personality system based on closed beta feedback.
Minions are usable by every class (there is only one race at launch - Roman). The way it works is there are three types of minions: infantry, ranged and magical. Everyone can get LIGHT versions of those; anyone can have light infantry, light ranged and light magical minions. There are also HEAVY versions of the minions, but those are restricted by class archetype. Only gladiators and soldiers can have heavy infantry; only rogues and scouts can have heavy ranged; and only priests and mystics can have heavy casters.
I think this system is genious in terms of play balancing and grouping. If you're out soloing, you can bring minions to help support you. If you're a priest, you can bring a couple infantry to tank up front and an archer and a mystic, say, to help with damage and control. If you're a soldier, you can bring another infantry to help hold the line and a couple healers to back you up, etc. But in a group situation, each class will be desirable because of their specialist (heavy) minions. Sure, if two priests want to group up, they could both have light infantry tanking up front while they and their ranged/caster minions stay back. BUT, a priest + soldier could have more potential grouping together because the soldier can have HEAVY infantry up front tanking while the priest has HEAVY healers and nukers backing them up.
I feel the minion system will be quite interesting and it is hard to imagine just how much it can/will change the playstyle of an MMOG without actually getting in and seeing it in action. At the very least, I expect to see a lot of different group configurations; I think it will be less "critical" to get the holy trinity in a group (tank/mage/priest) - not that I belive in the holy trinity anyway, heh.
Bear in mind, also, that players are more powerful than heavy minions (who are more powerful than light minions), so in general, if putting together a group, it will generally be better to have humans in some slots than all minions. I believe they have stated they are looking at allowing dynamic instance/raid composition, too. So, if something allowed 20 characters, it might be up to you if that is 20 players with no minions out, or 10 players with 1 minion each, or 3 players with 5-6 minions each, etc. For someone like me who mostly plays with a few friends who all like challenges, it sounds tailor-made.
