Originally posted by Bendrix I have to agree with you. Warp to 0 will save time and help retain players. Thoes players stay, gain skills, joing corps, and help diversify EVE as a whole. This is my THIRD time trying EVE. Each time I was lured in by the amazing graphics. But the time it took to get my neubie frig to the jump gate or astroid field or starbase was painful at best and the #1 reason for leaving the game twice before. THIS time hoever I got invested in my character. And thank god for the new character generator! They walk you through, step by step! I think people will have a better understanding of the choices they are making. Question: Have they upgraded the planet textures? I was flying around last night and was amazed at the planets.
They haven't that I know of, at least not recently, when was the last time you played?
Ah, good point actually NatEVE. It's true that you usually get caught once you jump into a new system and not leading up to a gate, so it shouldn't be a problem.
And if it reduces lag and cleans up the server then i'm all for it! Although i didn't dislike the feature, just would have preferred it not to be included, but now i see it's better with.
So will you warp to 0 when you're set on autopilot or have they kept that as 15km? I could see reasons for why they would.

Aside from the fact that it's not funny. :P
Especially when you're not up to date with the changes - in which case it's just annoying. Why would they decrease targetting range due to warp core stabilizers?
so that its not so easy to sit in a long range sniper outside sentry gun range in low sec while still being imune to a tackler :P
edit:
that was the short version.... longer one:
the stabilizers were not meant to be used in combat the way they have been nowadays..... ever tried catching a stabbabond? basically they are still a viable choice for traveling, just their usefullness in combat has reduced drastically (as hauler you might not be THAT reliant on faster locking and higher targeting range)
tackler ... usually a frigate, whose primary job is to ensure that the mark doesnt go anywhere.
up to now, the problem was that the sniper could stack up on stabs, and still be immune to tackling due to him simply putting up more warpcore strength than what any frigate could reasonably cancle out with Warp Disruptors.
its just one example of many where things where out of whack.
as to being humorous, well, most of the time, if you ask, NOONE (especiallly from the pvp crowd) would ever use WCS as its lame and cheap and whatnot...
Its therefore classic how this user got busted for using one, even if he may not have been guilty of denying the usage or not
Nice new patch Got myself a new Battlecruiser today, and it looks nice Are these new ships using the higher detailed models? Because they seem to look much better. Anyone that knows?
Ah okay, that makes more sense now. Thanks for explaining Doomhammer.
The whole of PvP has changed so much since i last played properly and it seems there are so many tactics that i've never heard of before, nevermind me being unfamiliar with them all anyway as i've never actually PvPed.

So would you care to enlighten me as to what a "tackler" is?
