3 computers that are running fine. And hopefully something closer to my rig with dual-core 4400, 2 Gig DDR, Nvidia 6600GT 128Mb. What settings and resolutions do you use? I'm just willing to take another stab at getting my config running the way it should for CoX. The 30-60fps I got in the weeks prior to I7 were the best I've ever had. No other upgrades I've done in the past resulted in a significant change EXCEPT moving to a dual-core CPU. I tried jg0001's suggestion in tech forum for settings in Control Panel versus in-game and nothing. I added back the -renderthread 1 for dual-cores to the shortcut and...nothing. Still float around 20fps and 20-30 inside missions. Drivers are at 93.71, running WinXP Svc Pack 2.
It's real simple Roman because no matter how you keep trying to say you recognize the game might have technical issues, just about every paragraph is filled with the same theme such as below: Nowhere have I said that the game cannot be at fault; only that I believe in many cases the players' computers are the reason for technical issues. This belief may be mistaken, but it's quite logical and valid, as it could also very well be absolutelycorrect. No matter how you keep spinning your words, this theme is prevalent in your arguements so I have a hard time accepting anything else you say. The opinion that your computers have no issues thus it is most likely the player's rig is an exaggeration. Also, since you want to claim a 50/50 ratio, then let's start bringing forum names. You list one person that has no problems and I will list people that have had issues regardless of the configurations and/or what they have done to address the issue. I highly doubt you know 50% of the subscribers, so your 50/50 argument was another exaggeration on you part. All I said was give me some names and I will do the same(thus the percentages can speak for themselves). I'm still not buying that you are compromising in you beliefs that Cryptic is without technical fault. You spin a good tale but the end message is always the same.

Anyway, I'd say both (or neither) CoX and Tute's PC is to blame. Most software out there doesn't run on *all* possible configurations, there's just too many variables, and to expect so is quite silly to say the least
(6 PC's on which it runs fine btw. played it on 3 different ones here, and 2 friends of mine without issues either. One of them on 2 PC's)
While CoX has undoubtibly technical problems with some PC's I think you can safely assume (especially given the number of subscribers) that those with issues that can't be solved are clearly in the minority.

I signed back yesterday after being away for some time and now I am canceling again today.
Why?
In a matter of three hours of playing CoH I had 2 client crashes and 4 map disconnects. Still is totally unacceptable from a game that has been out this long..

In 2 years of CoX gaming i got max 5 crashes. Some map disconnect can happens and happens also in many other mmo.
I understand your frustration, but try to be positive and find out why you are having problems. There are 2 european servers and so many US servers around and i don't think all the ppl there are crashing every 2 minutes between missions or task forces.
CoX is one of the best MMO around, for sure one with no 'downtime' at all. Pure action all the time if you like that.
my fastest was also CoH ... i bought it n played it for less then a hour n decided to go get SWG (this happened last xmas) .. after canceling swg after about 8 months of play i am playing CoH again and enjoying it

The forums are swarmed by VANBOIS ATM, Brad rather invest money in propagandas then actually making bright design decisions, such as raid-free servers; this is merely a Vanboi launching an attack against a competitor, really weakly might I add. I am tired of the sudden influx of Vanbois, so I left these sucky threads trying to make us believe that the worst design can be the best, when in fact, Vanguard design is old gen, so old I cringe just watching it. Vanbois influx is really NOT SUBTLE. All of a sudden, the change...yeah right.
