It saddens me when I read the Barracks

Because people have no idea how good WW2OL (Even with alot of tanks) is compared to other MMOGs.....
People say they will unsuscribe..foolish, there is no game out there to replicate the intensity and pure awesomeness of WW2OL. And after trying a few MMOGs, I learnt that the hard, boring way

WW2OL has more patches more frequently than any game out there. The average MMORPG has a patch released every 3 months, even then, they are usually small ones with no drastic changes. WW2OL has a large patch almost every month, and even then, the smaller ones usually dish out more than what most MMORPGs *Major* patches do. You guys have no idea how good you have it
I'd flock back to WW2OL right now ASAP, but money issues is keeping me from doing so. Soon my friends, I will be back

And patching has increased since U left, also the RATS have been able to employ some more men.
well problem with WWIIOL when it was released was it was a beta product and in many regards compared to most mmorpgs out there and in some ways still are..why wekeep seeing alot of changes.
The development rate compared to other mmorpgs are actually slow if any remember any mmorpgs in startup faces,but WWIIOL dev team is little but so are other teams.Most games don`t need alot of updates and new content if the game already is big enough and have enough content in it like EverQuest and Dark Ages of Camelot-they can work on future releases which brings in more money or they add for free.
Still I like WWIIOL and enjoy playing it from time to time...

And you should realize Beatbox that just because you percieve things to be a certain way doesn't make them factual for others.
You complain that players ignore cheaters and griefers etc. No we don't we just don't think every other death is a result of someone cheating. You talk as though the problem is rampant yet 90% of the time I play I never see or hear any of these problems, and I have the luxury of seeing what passes on the High Command channels from all corners of the Allied spectrum.
I also don't run around trying to clip into things, you see I focus on the mission not on trying to exploit the game, and I think you'll find most others do to. So are we the ones in the wrong because we play the game the way it was meant to be played? Because we don't perceive every flaw you do in the same light? I don't believe so, and I question the authenticity of alot of your claims. You are a bit of a drama queen I"m sorry to say, because if these griefers and cheaters were that prolific someone like myself along with many of the other HC's would be talking about it, requesting a GM come get a handle on it, but we are not, we are focused on our jobs, running operations, leading folks, and getting missions up. We rarely get calls like that, so are we all blind or are you exagerating the point? My guess is the latter. But I won't expect you to believe me, I'm just a fanboi who's to blinded by his love for this game to understand the truth of the matter.... ok....
Don't expect the starter set to change too rapidly, the Rats are trying to build out the Equipment set from that base point so we have more to RDP, more Diversity and decisions to make along the way. Given that the maps have been running longer and longer lately I think its a better idea then given us more options at the start. Also by giving us more options to build into they can make the RDP occur somewhat faster or give us an air rdp and ground rdp and change the rules a bit to allow for more interesting decisions.
I can accept you feel that the starter set is old and needs more options, but you should be able to understand that for me, the starter set is fine, its just the start I'm more interested in getting into the newer vehicles that perform better, more nterested in progressing the equipment then I am about what I will have available to use the first week of play. Sure once we have more later stage equipment like the 190, Spit IX, Typhoon, P47, P51 etc etc we can look at getting the Bren Carrier, Pz1, and other "tinker-toys" but you call the RDP a joke, well its only as good as the choices it can make available.
I wonder how much you really know RDP has changed sicne its introduction, how carefully the changes to it need to be made over a long enough period so that we the players and they the developers can have a good baseline to see the changes happen against and so better understand what effects those changes have... But its just so much easier to say "RDP sucks" and leave it at that right?!
I don't know bro, your welcome to your opinion but I don't have to believe it or pretend that your perceptions are accurate, because from my view, and those of the dozens of others I play with, or discuss with about the game from newbies, to squad mates, to high command channel chatter I just don't see these big glaring issues the way you are. When I'm fighting in a town I'm very quiet, and aware of my surroundings, most of the time I am killing my opponents from 200m + with my rifle and they never know where I am. And when I die I rarely know who got me or from where. Was it one of these many clipper/cheaters you speak of, or was it the guy who spotted me by moving slowly, listening, looking and scanning through a pile of junk that obscured my view of him then laid on his belly climbed into a nice little spot that was tough to spot and shot me from long range.
I'm guessing the latter again... but mabye thats because I don't perceive a bunch of cheaters and griefers playing around me, I understand that alot of the guys I fight and fight with have been playing for 3 years too and that means their very good at the game, and they aren't going to give their position away in killing me because they learned long ago as did most of us that the further away you kill from, and the less the enemy knows of who killed them the less chance they have to come back and kill you from another angle.
Once again, we come down to perspectives... and the question to me atleast becomes, who does one believe, who's seeing the more accurate picture of what is actually goign on... I'm not saying I do, and that your totally wrong, I'm more willing to bet the truth of the matter lies in the middle ground somewhere. But I still maintain that if some of these issues were really as big a deal as you make them out to be wouldn't the players who spend alot more time, have alot more devoted interest actually see them and discuss them too? Or are all we thousands of players really just lying to ourselves, hiding and covering up the facts and cheating ourselves just to be able to compete... Break out the tin foil hats boys the aliens are landing!

I'd like to take this opportunity to warn prospective players that Beatbox was kicked out of WWIIOL. He is a know griefer and spammer of forums. Just yesterday he signed onto WWIIOLs forums and spammed our main forum with his crazy garbage.

well still insinuate that he is is cheating is bad form and not very mature.
And most of the threads in barracks had names and side before they got locked or deleted.Not going into sides since cheating isn`t in my book a side issue
