Vanguard easily. You would think that having praticaly unlimited funding and EQ to copy things from, that they could make a really cool game. So far, it's the exact opposite.
Originally posted by scytaleMMORPG These stats merely reflect that LOTRO is the most well-known game due to come out soon, followed closely by Vanguard. People won't vote for stuff they've never heard of. Quite a lot has been published about LOTRO and Vanguard, so people can make a judgement on them. Near nothing has been published about Star Trek On-line (due maybe in 2008) and Stargate Worlds (we'll be lucky to see it in 2010, since the indications are they haven't started coding it yet). The others are smaller and less promoted MMOs, which I hope will all be good, but they probably won't all be good.
But.... , since most (but not all) posters here do keep up to date with whats happening in the MMO world through this site and others, the people posting here are more likely to have a better informed opinion than many of the first time games for games such as WoW. The fact that LOTRO is leading does NOT mean its the most popular its just means that people think its the most likely to dissapoint, and given tuirbines track record with AC2 and DDO i can't say I blame them.
Me i think Star Trek is most likely to dissapoint. Stargate worlds could be interesting if done right but is running a close second to ST. I am a fan of fantasy RPGS though (However two MMO's based off well established IPS means little leway for creativity outside of the known lore) and you just have to look at the Matrix online to see how well that works.
Personally the 3 games i'm watching for next year (in no particular order) are Warhammer Online, Age of Conan and Chronicles of Spellborn, each have the possibility to be grreat games, whether the devs can deliver time will only tell.

That would be because that is not an upcoming game but an expansion to an existing game...
Suprised AoC isn't getting a higher %.
Well after playing the game for 18 months , I can tell you it might as well be called WoW 2. Expansion lol thats why there redoing every class and all there talents, and coming up with a new honor system for pvp. Plus because WoW is gear based it makes all there current lev 60 endgame instances practally pointless for anyone to ever run , yep sounds like a new game to me

I played my 1st MMOG for about 2 years, my second for several months, and the rest for 1 month max.
Maybe present releases disappoint me, because i am just bored from MMO.
I mean, you will use your playing scheme for the next games again.
You will use teamspeak, read guides, join a guild... same procedure as every game.
