Apparently free speech is only allowed by those whom you agree with on college campuses these days. Intellectual debate is not being taught or practiced.

Education is a blessing.

These kind of students are destined for failure.

 The purpose of being a student is to learn.

These students clearly thought their position within their school was to teach.

 

Intellectual debate is taught and practised in intellectual debate class not in visiting lecturers speeches.

If they were illegal aliens themselves, legal family members or business owners who hire them, then I would understand why they would be angry. The forementioned groups are motivated by selfish reasons.

Everyone else of course, should be against it. Granting illegals legal status is a mockery of our laws and of the immigration application process. We should be enforcing laws instead of rewarding those who violate them.

38% of criminals in the federal prison system are illegals and each one costs roughly $22,000 to manage, and the state prison systems house many as well. Illegals are also a burdon economically on the health care system and education system, and drive down salaries and benefits for Americans and legal aliens competing for the same entry level jobs.

Rewarding those who are here illegally by granting them legal status would encourage more illegals to keep coming. We already tried this supposed solution during Regan's administration and because we don't seal our borders, they just keep coming.

As far as the stupid liberal college kids shouting over invited speakers and slashing people's tires, that's just plain retarded and they should be expelled.

I'm all for keeping the illegal canadians out of america, they are taking up our jobs and homes, and causing crime.  They need to be thrown back to there own country of moose and ice.

seriously though, our unemployment rate would go down because we would have a lot smaller crime rate,  I say that we tell them to leave within 90 days or be forced out.  THey are not only a bearing on our economy, but the welbeing of the country.  I also think, though, that we need to loosen up our immigration policy, as to allow immigrants into our country without years of hassle.

btw, i'm a liberal, and I just see these people as stupid.

I am not a racist at all but I think all illegal immigrants should be deported without question, those students were morons they dont even know how bad illegal immigration is goin to ruin America more than it already has. Big buisness sure loves the illegals though they take jobs for alot cheaper and they wont complain or ask for benefits! Its exploitation at its finest the illegals get exploited by big buisness and the American worker gets exploited by his politician who take campaign contributions from big buisness.

Immigrants don't pay taxes, and that is the only reason that I don't really want them here.

That and they take up jobs...and live in low-income housing where crime is, then their offspring start getting involved with crime (a lot of the time)making their presense a burden on society, ect.

I didn't read the article, I can probably guess what they were bitching about...I can't stand these psuedo intellectual college students who think that their liberal views are the only correct way of thinking and that anyone who doesn't agree is just uneducated.

Anyway, illegal immigrants are just as they sound, illegal...they should be be given two choices:  Begin the citizenship process and finish it within a reasonable amount of time as decided by the government, or leave. I understand that it takes a lot of work and time to become a citizen, and I'm willing to allow them this time, but if they aren't willing to even try, then I'm not willing to let them drain our economy.  YES many of them are hard workers, and I'm not taking that away from them...but they need to understand that our culture is different from theirs, they need to learn our language, and stop expecting everyone to cater to their needs...can you immagine a group of Americans going to Mexico and demanding that the schools begin speaking English from the government?  They would be laughed at.

This is what is happeneing here, but the opposite. Spanish is now a required class to take in elementary schools, and these illegal immigrants are being allowed to just live wherever and do whatever without worry. They are taking over this country. Theyve already got the job market locked down almost, now they are hitting education and our government is making children learn their language.

I find it absurd that they can require that all children learn to speak a foreign language, I know that almost all Europeans speak multiple language, but that's a geographical thing, over in America, there is really no need for it, except for lazy Mexicans who don't want to learn English when they come HERE...it's so backwards.

I should add:  It's not that I have a hatred for foreign languages, I myself speak German...but I wouldn't expect to go to Mexico and expect people to speak English, which is what many mexican illegals do here in the US.

Exactly. I myself speak some German, I took 3 classes of it in High School, but it was by choise. Now, years later, children are being forced to take a foreign language in elementary school, and they dont even get to choose which, its Spanish.

And this was caused by the flood of Mexican immigrants here, it wasnt just some random thing. Instead of our government dealing with the immigration issues, they are forcing the public to just cope and deal with it, and try to fit in with the immigrants.

GoD dAm those illegal aliens.. Now Its' SOOO hard for me to find a job i love because they already have The garbage men/gardeners Job market locked down...

Thats' why the job market is so rough for me and my friends who go/went to college... All those mexicans have taken up all our prospective jobs..

Yeah I can't wait till America starts paying immigrants over the table... So that the can get PAID more than they do now... AND since they probably are exempt from taxes... They can start filing for all their taxes back...

Key word here, "taxes". They get paid under the table...no taxes. Not only that, if they are not a citizen, then they cant get taxed state and federal, or else the employer will be caught. In other words, more people are working than taxes being paid, which means tax rates will slowly, but surely start to rise for everybody who is paying taxes, while the illegals keep going on their happy way.

Wow are you serious?  first of all, if they began to pay the immigrants "over the table" then their wages would remain the same, they would just be taxed, much like people already making minimum wage.  And they aren't "probably" exempt from taxes, it's that the government has no way to tax them, because they aren't citizens.  And how exactly is a bunch of people paying taxes going to cause america to have less money?  You think that they will end up getting more money back from the government than they paid in ?  HAH  Prices wouldn't go up, because they wouldn't have to pay them any more than they are being paid right now...tell me why exactly they would be forced to pay them more?  If they are already being paid minimum wage, what need would there be to raise their wages simply because they are now being taxes like everybody else?

Uh yeah... Business dont pay people under the table to be nice... They pay them under the table because it's cheaper... tHey can pay them less... Hence why it's illegal... You can't pay people less than min wage because then they can sue... and you would have to pay fines and all kinds of stuff
