If your son already plays an MMO, I wouldn't get him another one, but that's just IMO. He would be better off with a normal, non-online game (oblivion or some other single player RPG). As for your daughter, she would do well with a Wii and some of those games (monkeyball, ray man).

edit: if you don't want to spend the money on a Wii, you could just get a GameCube. Also, if you wanted to get your son and your daughter both something good, you could get a Wii with Zelda and Monkey Ball or Ray Man. That would give them each a game, plus wii sports to play together. That's the best deal for younger kids, plus I don't mind Zelda or Wii sports myself.

900$ on Christmas present!? My god...

That really is a lot...I don't want to interfer with your education, ofcourse, but be carefull you don't spoil them too much.

At any rate, if your son enjoys MMORPG's, then chances are big he will like Guild Wars.

Get a WII. If your son already has an MMO...Don't get him another.

Also, you're daughter might like the WII too. Im a girl and I like it, and all of my MMO's as well.

There basiaclly are no games for the 360 for your daughter, and im assuming your son is around the same age, so thats a no for him too. Id go for either a Wii for the both of them, or a single player PC game for your son like somebody else mentioned. Although you should note that getting a Wii wont be an easy task unless you want to pay $400 for one off eBay.

I own both a 360 and a Wii, so im not biased here. Although your son and daughter might like the Marvel Ultimate Alliance game, which is for the 360 and the Wii.

First of all I agree $900 is way too much for Christmas...even when I was little I got max $100 on a good year. image

But anyway, I would go ahead and get your son Guild Wars (the first one).  I would get a Wii for both kids, with Zelda and Monkey Ball.  Also get an extra remote so they can play Wii Sports together.

    900!!! DOLLARS!!!! OMG!!!

You didn't tell us how old your son is... ANd i dont think Guildwars would be the greatest of choices... Go for a Wii or PS3 or X360... They give much more instant gratification than a MMORPG.... and you dont want your son growing up on a MMO..... that could be bad.. depending on his personality...
    So go for a console...
Wii: Wii Sports, Zelda, Monkey Ball, Madden Wii
PS3: Resistance Fall of man, Calling all Cars, Blast Factor, tony hawk
360: Gears of War, Geometry Wars, Marvel UA
