OpenArena is an open-source content package for Quake III Arena licensed under the GPL, effectively creating a free stand-alone game. You do not need Quake III Arena to play this game. http://openarena.ws/.

What do you think of this? OpenArena hasn't given me much of a good first impression.

    The screenshots looks quite scary to me image, weirdly dressed woman with incredibly flared sleeves pointing gigantic guns that looks like they are twice the size of themselves at you. To add to the scariness they have painted spots on their cheeks which makes the womam looks like some kind of tribe of weird living dolls image.
