Trial Download

I downloaded the Echoes of Faydwer trial, got to the Launch Pad and now have a 14 hour update ahead of me. Is that normal?

pretty sure that is normal buddy. its a 2 gig+ patch.

Yups same here, dunno how big it was, but it was downloading around 4 hours for me (but it said 14 hours, but levelled out more realistic later on)

the worst part is
the trial to play until level 6 cap takes less time then that update



but man it got me to want to buy the EoF with everything

Yeah the trial is kind of bad for testing out EverQuest 2 because you won't get the whole picture of the game's nice features with levelcap of 6 But as i have played over 2 years now without ever getting bored i can say that it's worth buying this game as it has so much to offer especially now with new expansion pack collection which has all previous expansions and original game also and costs only about same as just original...

But back to that trial updating...
The game is totally over 6GB(dunno if trial client is different) so yes patching all the way takes lot of time(one thing i hate when i need to format HDs and install and update EQ2 all the way...)
