EVE by far has the best PvP "system".  I can understand why some some people wouldn't like the PvP in EVE.  It requires a lot more strategy, tactics and dicipline then a game like GW.  Not to mention it's a lot more slower paced.  However with that being said it does unarguably have the best PvP system of any MMORPG.

i think is eve it's the best mmorpg game i  played

I still say EVE after trying almost every other MMO out there.

PVP in eve affects the entire game. Wars can cause ship prices to rise and fall, alliances are constantly forming and then breaking up, there's espionage and politics galore. The variety of setups also makes it very unpredictable. In WoW after awhile it's pretty easy to know what gear a class has, and what their abilities are. The only variables are the talent trees and there's only a few templates for each character that are decent. EQ2 has 100 times more variety than that.

    Predictability FTL.

Currently the best is probably L2 or Eve.

But AC1 has the best pvp of all time hands down.  Anyone that ever played Darktide or went Red on a normal server is the "good old days" knows what i'm talking about.

    Guildwars.

Planetside would be my choice except it's not really an RPG.

i like EVE the best as well, however there's nothing stopping you from
amassing hundreds of people and saying you're awesome when you beat up
    50 other people.

It can be a strategy thing, like parking your rifter 1000km away from a
gate pointed at the next gate and spamming your scanner to see what
kind of ship jumps through and then racing them to the next gate and
jumping through while they follow cause they never saw you and don't
want to wait to find out what you're flying.

But on the other hand using hundreds of people to blow up some outpost
apparantly equals skill in most EVE players eyes, I left the game a
long time go cause I hate the communtiy, namely the cowardly attitude,
scared to fight certain people, and easily recruited by these people
when the time comes.  I ran out of friends quick in EVE.

WoW is retarded, no death penalty.   If you see a mage with
zero mana you're better off leaving him alive than killing him/her now
that's retarded, an incentive not to kill in a battleground, that
    shouldn't be the best strategy.

Which Final Fantasy Character Are You?
if I were to kill a titan tomorrow and no CCP employees showed up to say grats I would petition it.
Waiting for: the next MMO that lets me make this macro
    if hp < 30 then CastSpell("heal") SpellTargetUnit("player") else CastSpell("smite") end

Exactly. Fleet combat was mostly number games and trying to get enemy fight on you while you have advantage, these rare times where smaller numbers won something was usually because they were fighting with long range fitting + t2 guns and ammo vs close range or with t1 guns/ammo.

I can see it takes a bit of skill for fleet commander, but anyone else pretty much dont need any skill except character skill. Good fleet commander can cause great win and bad fleet commander horrible defeat. Also I found it funny sometimes some vets were talking about
transversal velocity, sig radius and tracking speed like it took skill
and months to understand how these work.

Oh and my favorite was guys who were huggin station if they were against anything even remotely even numbers or take quick look outside station and everyone start fitting racial ECM before undocking and then complain because you dont stay and fight and call you coward. image

Lineage 2 wins for me. I hated Eve, boring pvp, not as fun as L2.

And WoW isn't even a pvp game, so it doesn't get to count. :D

    guild vs guild in
guildwars requires a lot of skill, EvE could never come close to it if
it wanted to in strategy, tactics and dicipline.  EvE even has
diffuculty comparing to its random areanas, sure it could win by a
little bit half the time or so but it still loses half the time in
those three areas, this is also a small part of the PvP.

In guildwars what am I doing.

paying attentions to 2-3 targets and finding thier general stategy(out of 4-12)

paying attention to the placement of the targets

keeping various things up on one or two targets

    buffs such as enchants

and debuffs such as hexs and conditions(one or the other in most cases)

keeping track of party members so you know when to retreat and various other things(4-12)

    minding the chat/vent

following and knowing when to change your strategy

    In EvE

you're keeping track of you compacitor and EvE's version of its health

keeping track of Ammo in some cases(fights don't last long enough for you to have to)

keeping track of a one enemy(in most cases)(amoungst a group of people)

needless to say this enemy isn't built for fighting in most cases

keeping track of the distances between your enemy(ies) and you

    keeping track of 1-6 weapons

following your strategy/knowing when to run

admitably I did most likely leave out one or two things.  how ever one
should note I left out pre combat stuff as both the games precombat
setup are just as advanced just in differnt ways.

One should also mention that EvE isn't designed for MMORPG players but rather MMOTS(tick/turn stradegy)

In regards to the above post, I feel you're leaving out a lot of things when it comes to eve. You're not even mentioning working with other players or entire corporations. Your breakdown of eve's pvp would work assuming all fights happened 1v1 using just weapons and no EW at all.
This is why us Eve "fanboys" get worked up over other people's analysis of eve's pvp, because most of them just don't do it justice. The worst are people claiming Eve's pvp is just "pressing all your modules and seeing what happens".

So if both sides put on passive soulshots, they both win? O.o

I enjoy Eve's risk and rewards for pvp, and Lineage 2's wars. They're different models and I'd have a hard time choosing between them.

Like I've mentioned in just about every other thread concerning GW and it's pvp, the battles themselves are quite fun and intricate, but there is no war to be won. No castles to siege. No outposts to destroy. No territory to conquer. There is no risk or reward involved at all.

In Eve or L2 you can gain or lose days - weeks - months of work through pvp. This is what really sucks me into mmo's and why the GW pvp only hooked me for a week or two.

    in regards to above post.

I'm just saying that when i'm in the game for PvP I want it to be when I want it(sure a part of some PvP is having it be a surprise to you, but I choose mechnics that I want), and whilst PvPing I want to be able to focus solely on it and lose myself in it.  I'm also saying that you don't get that to the full extent that you would while playing Guild Wars(PvP) after training yourself.

both games have incrediably high quality PvP as its their main focus.  Its just that they have it for differnt reasons.

I hate EvE's combat as it seems incredably off hands in my head, also soo much of EvE seemed like risk management rather than focusing on the PvP(risk management can be very important but EvE didn't pull it off quite right in my head).

Shadowbane, hands down. Other games have silly PvP imo, most of the time you don't even lose anything when you lose a fight.image Although I could see why people might like it.

There is plenty of rewards you get from pvp like celestial sigil/rare items from HA, but could be more always. Also Anet keep hosting big cash prize GvG tournaments. GW pvp is very competive and best guilds who are regulary on top in these tournaments dont get there just because they have a lot players (actually many best guilds prefer to stay low numbers) or best items, but because they are skilled.
