I was in beta and hated it.  Then one of my best friends, after the game was released, told me he loved it.  I let it go for a month or two and asked him again if he liked it.  He said I should try it again.  I went out and bought it about a month or two ago and really like it.  The recent changes have made the game pretty much a great game but it you over play it you can get burnt out.  My friend and I both like it because we can play for 12 hours or 30 minutes.  It caters to heavy duty players and people fresh out in the field can kill just as easy as a veteran.  Of course being a veteran affords you more points to distribute and more abilities but it isnt over powered.

I do recommend lots of memory 1gig to 2 gig of ram and a good video and a cable/dsl connection.

I agree it is a great game, and I also fully agree that if you over-play it you will get burnt out of it and want to take a break. It's a game that you have as a side... If nothing is going on, you can play it for an hour or two. Go get it! :)

It's an unwritten agreement that you will enjoy Planetside a lot more if you have a good machine. A fast processor, good RAM, and a nice video card can go a long way. While you can skimp out a bit in a MMORPG for your hardware, you need a good system to make those split-second actions with a framerate greater than five ;)

I first tried it in beta. Maybe because I joined NC on Emerald (who have always done really well), but I don't know. I really love the game, but I just don't want to pay 15 bucks a month, when there are other MMO games out there which are just as good and cost less. Granted, they are RPGs, but that shouldn't make a difference.

Still, this game is surprising coming from the makers of Evercrap *shudders*

I agree with the fact this game makes a good game on the side playing it about 2 to 5 times a week. If you just need your fill of PVP and Fun then this is a game I recommend to u.

Ya I tried to download a free trial of the game, but I only had 1.7 gigs left ='(

Wasted an hour downloading it, and couldnt even load it ='(. It was depressing and time consuming. I really want to play it though!!!image
