What if they made the game gw pay to play.

would you gw players still play this horrible game.

because I think 3/4 of the people who play this game would stop

such as my sister she only plays because its free.

If it was made p2p, you can only wonder what things they can add to this "horrible" game.

I have no idea why your sister or anyone for that matter who doesnt enjoy guild wars would continue playing unless your sister is an addict of course. Might as well play runescape and save the $50.

I would gladly pay to play GW.

Charging a monthly fee would certainly weed out most of the "crap" in the game.But not all.

Im sure everyone knows what "crap" is. See "Worst MMO community ever." thread.

I think there would be a severe backlash against them they would charge for every expansion like they are doing then they hit with a monthly fee. I think they've shown they dont need to put a monthly fee because with the spacing of the expansions every 6 months they actually earn a bit more per month than if they actually charged a per month charge. And like the others in this thread, please take your troll self back to your area (I wont assume it's WoW) and stay on the child message boards like xfire.com's. They like trolls there.

If they tried to charge $15 a month, no. Because the game isn't worth that - this is the reason D&DO is dieing. If they charged 5.99 I bet a number of people would. But if they didn't offer game cards... all the kiddies would have to quit since they don't have credit cards.

But it is pointless, if halflife started charging people to play online it woudl crash too. The game was designed not to needs a monthly fee. A failure is a game that is made to earn a fee and then they have to reduce the fee because no one wants to pay.

if they got a monthly fee then there would not be expansion packs coming out every 2 years.. its that obvious.

they would have to do more gradual updates of course, which might be hard because you would get a new mission every week (or something like that) and an entire campaign would take forever. or maybe they would do something different.

also, the skills would be funny because as some skills are being nerfed, new skills would come in to replace them

This topic is pointless. Gaile Grey as well as several other A.Net representatives have stated that they will not ever charge people to play the game beyond the initial purchase.

Speculation on said topic is pointless. It's like wondering what it would be like if the sky fell. It's something that will never happen.

To answer your question: No I wouldn't. Every game that is p2p is useless piece of ****. GW did things the other way.

Now I need to ask you the TRUE question?
How many of you would play WoW if it would become f2p? I wouldn't. It's so bad that they'd need to give me money to play it.
