The quests and dungeons make for an immersive and enjoyable gaming
experience. Even though I'm not the most social person in the world, I
didn't mind the forced grouping, as it helped the game remain somewhat
    true to its roots.

The biggest issue with the game for me is the
static nature of the dungeons. You end up running through the same
dungeon numerous times, and it's exactly the same every time. That
really wrecked things for me when I was just starting and ended up
partying with players who had already completed the dungeons where I
needed to complete my quests. Every dungeon at that point became a
sprint because the other players knew exactly where to go, which
switches to pull, how to disable the traps, where the boss was, etc.
It's like sitting in the movie theater in front of the 10-year-old who
insists on telling everyone within earshot exactly what's going to
    happen seconds before it does.

That's not how I wanted to
experience DDO. It ruined the game for me. As much as liked every other
aspect of the game, this was a show stopper.
    I'm
not attacking your opinion here, but letting other people ruin your
gaming experience is not an excuse. They also do this type of stuff in
WoW and GW too. I think never you like the game in the first place or
at least they were more things you hated about the game than liked.

    We3:
Actually, no.  Before this website crashed, we had a few post of
people saying this game sucked and how they uninstalled the game. As I
said before, DDO is big over in Europe, not in the US. That's why you
guys get stuff before we do. If anything, it's safe to say the
community is stabilized due to trial players.

    Actually,
yes, once again you have shown that your knowledge of this game is
limited. The US get all updates and patches first, if you played you
    would know this.

You always have to jump on to any thread which
praises the game with your poison. Thankfully, I have been correct all
along and no-one listens to you.

Just accept the fact that some
people like a game you don't. Live with it! I can't stand that
Fisher Price/Blizzard production they call World of Warcraft but don't
go into the WoW board complaining!

    1. Whoa, you justify an error of judgment to say I'm ignorant. How immature of you to come to such as dumb assumption.

    2. Everytime, we argue, you're always on defense.

    3.
People equally hate the game and lie the game. You need to live with
the fact that now everybody is on your bandwagon. And it's ironic, that
you call WoW a Fisher price like product considering the DDO has a lot
of people carebearing, powergaming, and grinding. The same idiots you'd
find in WoW, GW and every other rpg can be found in DDO now because the
game now caters to a wider audience instead of an exclusive audience
like it did in the beginning. The game is no longer unique.

And the saddest part is, Dungeons and Dragons is a RPG and nobody roleplays in any of the servers. OOOOOH, the irony.

    The
assumption is all yours, I think you will find that the word ignorant
was not in my post, however, the words 'limited knowledge' are. I don't
play EvE, therefore, I have 'limited knowledge' and would not seek to
presume I could pass judgement on the game. Indeed, I would not
embarass myself and start telling EvE players what I think was crap or
    rubbish about their game.

It seems to me your issue is with
yourself, fine you don't like DDO, perfectly acceptable, however, your
almost vehement hate of the game and your incessant attempts to rubbish
the game is incomprehensible. You think people lie about the game and
don't like others disagreeing with you or what YOU believe to be a good
game, there is a word for that, arrogance.

    Now, go to your room!

    1. I have limit knowledge on the game?

The way to beat the titan

There are 4 stages to the fight.

    - Walk into the area with the titan and fight him until he his shields go up.

    - Then go behind him to a room that opens up which has a device that
creates crystals, which can used to move and fire a laser that will
    hurt him.
    - In order to hit him with the laser though you have to
drop a pillar on his head. To drop the pillars you need to take out
both the portion on the top and the portion on the bottom.
    - After you hit him with the laser twice the room behind him will close and another room up top will open up.
    - They are some crystals here as well you need to attack with the laser 4 more times.
    - After that point the room will close and his shields will drop, allowing you to hurt him again.
    - Attack until he dies.

There goes your dumbass assumption I have limited knowledge.

    2. Whoa, we have a few post on this topic of people who already said
they've quit the game and you call me a liar. The only liar here is the
person who looked pass the people who noted they've quit. I acknowledge
the people's likes or dislikes about the game. You only acknowledge the
    people who like the game.

When's the last time, you've seen anyone say they are looking for a
guild on this board or asking for advice on how to beat certain
    monsters. The answer is never.

Zon: I would wait a little longer after Burning Crusade, possibly
Conan and LOTR MMORPG opening before buying the game. DDO may lose quit
a few players from these three events. Moreover, Turbine may end the
game a month or two after LOTR comes out. DDO may very well be a
temporary MMORPG until LOTR surpasses it...if it does.

Of course some people don't like the game, it would be boring if everyone played the same game, however, you seem to have a vendetta against it or Turbine?

No-one is listening to you, can't you see? Seriously, who do you think you are that people are not going to play on the advice of CaptainRPG on MMORPG.COM?

It makes no difference to you whether people like it or not, you seem to think you are some self-anointed expert on the game and others, you are not, give up!

PS, I can't see anyone looking for guilds on the WoW forum!

You must not leave until you free Arlos and have gathered your party safely in this hallway.

    1. THERE ARE NO FAQS FOR DDO. There's only a character FAQ that was
never finished. ROFL! I've fought the titan and you my friend have to
get over that fact I've actually played enough to know enough that the
    game sucks.

    2. I hated it when liar like yourself overhype
the game qualities. And unlike yourself, I'm experience with business
having taken classes in business and I know Turbine isn't going to go
far with this game.  I came to realize that Turbine is only
keeping this game afloat until LOTR comes out. I don't have my hopes up
for LOTR either. The MMORPG magazine I read didn't like Turbine's
handling of the game as it didn't do anything new with the RPG.

    3. OH the irony of that statement saying I'm self-anointed myself as an expert when you are doing the same thing.

    4. OMG! You said you don't see anyone looking for guild on the WoW
    forums. ROFL! http://www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/forum/540

Well, look what I found. Dude get yourself, you know absolutely nothing about what you're talking about.

Why are you telling me about WoW when I don't even play that game
anymore. Yet, another dumbass assumption on your part. You think I'm
some WoW fanboy who hangs around here and brags about how well WoW is
doing. If I were a WoW fanboy, I'd be on their official forums or
playing the game instead of messing around on these forums. These
forums are dead and rarely anyone post here except to argue like you do.

    4. OMG! You said you don't see anyone looking for guild on the WoW forums. ROFL! http://www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/forum/540

Well, look what I found. Dude get yourself, you know absolutely nothing about what you're talking about.

Why are you telling me about WoW when I don't even play that game anymore. Yet, another dumbass assumption on your part. You think I'm some WoW fanboy who hangs around here and brags about how well WoW is doing. If I were a WoW fanboy, I'd be on their official forums or playing the game instead of messing around on these forums. These forums are dead and rarely anyone post here except to argue like you do.

You should have taken English over business my friend.

    The link doesn't work

    You haven't beaten the Titan

People who like the game, myself included, don't lie. So, basically, you are saying that that those who disagree with your 'limited knowledge' lie.

You are a laughing stock on these forums.

You must not leave until you free Arlos and have gathered your party safely in this hallway.

The biggest issue with the game for me is the
static nature of the dungeons. You end up running through the same
dungeon numerous times, and it's exactly the same every time. That

partying with players who had already completed the dungeons where I
needed to complete my quests. Every dungeon at that point became a

You always have to jump on to any thread which

find in WoW, GW and every other rpg can be found in DDO now because the
game now caters to a wider audience instead of an exclusive audience
like it did in the beginning. The game is no longer unique.

And the saddest part is, Dungeons and Dragons is a RPG and nobody roleplays in any of the servers. OOOOOH, the irony.

presume I could pass judgement on the game.

    1. I have limit knowledge on the game?

The way to beat the titan

There are 4 stages to the fight.

    - Walk into the area with the titan and fight him until he his shields go up.

    -
Then go behind him to a room that opens up which has a device that
creates crystals, which can used to move and fire a laser that will

When's the last time, you've seen
anyone say they are looking for a guild on this board or asking for
advice on how to beat certain monsters. The answer is never.

    Zon:
I would wait a little longer after Burning Crusade, possibly Conan and
LOTR MMORPG opening before buying the game. DDO may lose quit a few
players from these three events. Moreover, Turbine may end the game a
month or two after LOTR comes out. DDO may very well be a temporary
MMORPG until LOTR surpasses it...if it does.

    And
where did you copy and paste that from? Seriously dude, give up on
this, you are looking desperate. Turbine won't be ending the game once
LOTR comes out, they have two teams, one for DDO, the other LOTR, how
else could they be developing one and giving monthly free content to
    the other?

Of course some people don't like the game, it
would be boring if everyone played the same game, however, you seem to
have a vendetta against it or Turbine?

    No-one is listening to
you, can't you see? Seriously, who do you think you are that people are
not going to play on the advice of CaptainRPG on MMORPG.COM?

    It
makes no difference to you whether people like it or not, you seem to
think you are some self-anointed expert on the game and others, you are
    not, give up!

PS, I can't see anyone looking for guilds on the WoW forum!

    1.
THERE ARE NO FAQS FOR DDO. There's only a character FAQ that was never
finished. ROFL! I've fought the titan and you my friend have to get
over that fact I've actually played enough to know enough that the game
    sucks.

    2. I hated it when liar like yourself overhype the game
qualities. And unlike yourself, I'm experience with business having
taken classes in business and I know Turbine isn't going to go far with
this game.  I came to realize that Turbine is only keeping this
game afloat until LOTR comes out. I don't have my hopes up for LOTR
either. The MMORPG magazine I read didn't like Turbine's handling of
the game as it didn't do anything new with the RPG.

    3. OH the irony of that statement saying I'm self-anointed myself as an expert when you are doing the same thing.

    1. Before you start nitpicking at people's grammar, you might want to start putting periods at the ends of your sentences.

    2. You might want to try cutting on your internet service. Nice try,
lying about the link not working because link is the Guild forum for
World of Warcraft in MMORPG.com. Even if the link didn't work, you
would know where to find it.

    3. And where's your reliable source of information coming from that
proves I haven't fought the titan? Your ass? Yeah, that's a real
reliable source of information, huh, mate?

    4. Yeah like how you said this game was good after it lost it 90k
subscribers. Or how you said Turbine add to pvp and soloing to appeal
to a wider audience when the rest of read the interviews where they
mention no soloing or pvp was going to be add. Stop insulting our
intelligence, We3. Are you tired of all the hate for DDO? Too bad for
ya. If Turbine had made a better game, we wouldn't hatin on this game,
    right now.

    5. No one is even laugh. No has agreed with you. Who are these
imaginary people laughing at me and agreeing you? These boards rarely
move and we always at each others throats. Some people like it, but
    they weren't agree with you.
Many more people don't like the game and they express this hate by
playing other games worth their time. I don't care what direction this
game goes, but I do care when liars like yourself make a game out to be
what it isn't. We can find people like yourself on every bad MMO/RPG
forum. Like the Final Fantasy 12 forums in another site I'm in. The
game was bad, but they are couple of yahoos like yourself that insist
the 12th installment is the greatest thing to happen to mankind.

You are right, we do argue too much, so I will stop replying to your venomous threads, that is what you want after all, to drag the forum down in the hope people will not play the game or see your point of view, which we ALL know has failed, you are a failure!

I will keep watching your posts, so please carry on and in a couple of months time when the game is still going, more people are playing, ratings for the game are higher once it is re-reviewed, I shall have the greatest pleasure in showing you and everyone else on this forum how wrong you are and have been, so I beg you to carry on.(I will need your posts to show back at you!) I will be ignoring you like everyone else does and probably do on the Final Fantasy forum too!

The best way to deal with a demanding child is after all, to ignore them! LOL

Whoa, we have a few post on this topic of people who already said
they've quit the game and you call me a liar. The only liar here is the
person who looked pass the people who noted they've quit. I acknowledge
the people's likes or dislikes about the game. You only acknowledge the
    people who like the game.

    4. OMG! You said you don't see anyone looking for guild on the WoW forums. ROFL! http://www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/forum/540

Well, look what I found. Dude get yourself, you know absolutely nothing about what you're talking about.

    Why
are you telling me about WoW when I don't even play that game anymore.
Yet, another dumbass assumption on your part. You think I'm some WoW
fanboy who hangs around here and brags about how well WoW is doing. If
I were a WoW fanboy, I'd be on their official forums or playing the
game instead of messing around on these forums. These forums are dead
and rarely anyone post here except to argue like you do.

You should have taken English over business my friend.

    The link doesn't work

    You haven't beaten the Titan

    People
who like the game, myself included, don't lie. So, basically, you are
saying that that those who disagree with your 'limited knowledge' lie.

You are a laughing stock on these forums.

    1. Before you start nitpicking at people's grammar, you might want to start putting periods at the ends of your sentences.

    2.
You might want to try cutting on your internet service. Nice try, lying
about the link not working because link is the Guild forum for World of
Warcraft in MMORPG.com. Even if the link didn't work, you would know
    where to find it.

    3. And where's your reliable source of
information coming from that proves I haven't fought the titan? Your
ass? Yeah, that's a real reliable source of information, huh, mate?

Who
are these imaginary people laughing at me and agreeing you? These
boards rarely move and we always at each others throats. Some people
like it, but they weren't agree with you.

    You
are right, we do argue too much, so I will stop replying to your
venomous threads, that is what you want after all, to drag the forum
down in the hope people will not play the game or see your point of
view, which we ALL know has failed, you are a failure!

    I will
keep watching your posts, so please carry on and in a couple of months
time when the game is still going, more people are playing, ratings for
the game are higher once it is re-reviewed, I shall have the greatest
pleasure in showing you and everyone else on this forum how wrong you
are and have been, so I beg you to carry on.(I will need your posts to
show back at you!) I will be ignoring you like everyone else does
and probably do on the Final Fantasy forum too!

The best way to deal with a demanding child is after all, to ignore them! LOL

    1. The only person who seeking attention is yourself because I was here before you and you've been trolling ever since.

    2. Oh, I have no doubt this game will be still on in a few months.
After reading the MMORPG magazine, this game is more than likely to
only staying open to save face for their company until LOTR. Right now,
DDO is the Turbine only cash cow while Asheron's Call is dying MMORPG,
which more than likely isn't pulling in anymore players. If LOTR
doesn't do better than DDO than DDO will be Turbine only and final
product. If LOTR does well, more than likely, they are going to cancel
DDO and focus their energies on that MMORPG. I have no hatred for DDO,
it's just that I'm more familiar with business of the reputation of
    Turbine.
