It really depend on your intend guys, but by removing the "Most recent posts", you will reduce significantly the amount of discussions and peoples posting.

 

UP: Peoples will follow a discussion they start more closely.

 

Down: Peoples will remain in their area of the forum.  For example, if someone ask a question about a MMO I did play in the past but I don't play anymore, I won't see their question since I don't bother going there...however...when I check the recent posts, I often answer some peoples.

 

Might reduce "trolling";  but reduce much more.  I think this is like cutting a leg to remove a sunburn, but that is only my opinion.

 

The new artistic design is pretty neat btw; it has a STAR TREK feeling.  I kinda feel like checking the Federation interface now.

 

PS: I will still go in Vanguard forums to remember them that raid-free servers are really a neat ideas and they need it!  image
